Summer FUN [July]

Summah Summah!!!
Been loving the summer time! Aljay has been super busy with Rooci, and constantly on the grind. Luckily for me I've had a pretty steady summer. My busy times are during Fall & Spring semesters. But despite our schedules, we've been able to still enjoy our family and having the two school kids at home.

June 30- Date nite!!!!

YAY! Junior Maile had a release party for his new EP When I'm Gone. Emily and her girls watched the kids while we went. It was also a fundraiser for Maka Aulava's kidney transplant. It was nice to go to a show and dance with my hubs. RoociWear is going to be doing a collaboration with Junior Maile and NaDrua so it was kind of a "work" thing for Aljay. Aljay  also designed the album cover and singles cover which was cool to see on the backdrop during the show.

July 1-  Spanish Fork Reservoir & Fireworks

Took the kids for a swim to the Spanish Fork reservoir. Then watched the Stadium of Fire firework show at Carterville park with Lafai, Fatu, Penny, & Vjal. Also scored some free glow in the dark bracelets for the kids. Lafai and Fatu had just finished their rugby camp so they've been staying with us.

July 3- House Plans Approved
YAY! When we had sat down to go over the house plans, we had asked for a few changes to be made to the original plans. We proposed that the upstairs living room wall be moved out to give more room to the master bedroom/bathroom. We also requested a stand up shower instead of a tub in our bathroom, because Aljay doesn't want to feel cramped in a small tub shower. And then we also added some can lights in the ceiling.
Annnd the builders approved! YAY!!!! So Aljay signed the papers and now they are officially going to break ground and start on the foundation! So exciting!

July 4-  Independence Day

Aljay took the 3 older kids to campout in Provo the night before the Parade.  He eventually brought Viiga back around midnight. That lil boy knows wassup and wanted to sleep in comfort :)
The next day Aljay picked us up and took us to the parade. It was fun but too hot!

Afterwards we came home and craaaaashed for a few hours before getting back up and going for a swim at Lahvjal and Penny's pool.

Swimming was followed by dinner, dessert, and movies. Then randomly at midnight Lafai wanted to get fireworks so he left with Aljay to grab some. Aljay woke up the kids to see if they wanted to pop fireworks :)

July 7- Happy 30th to Me!!! Woohoo!

It was such a fun one too!!! Started of the day by going to work (but only for a half day) and enjoying some Crispy Kreme donuts (we do donuts for everyone's birthday).

And while I was at work, I got a phone call from Teuila saying that they had just bought their tickets, have already talked to Uati, and are moving to Utah February 13th!!!! Best news ever!!!

And thennnn... I found out from my good friend/coworker that his wife is expecting!!! More wonderful news!

annnnd thennn...it just so happened that our boss boss was treating everyone to lunch as a token of appreciation! Yay free lunch! Great start to my birthday!!

I left work after lunch and came home to a "Hapi BDay Mom" sign on the front door. I would of taken a picture but Saleima tore it down hahah. I then got the kids ready to head over to Emily's house. Emily and her girls babysat the kids while we went to Top Golf! SO FUN!

After top Golf, Penny and I went to pick up the kids while Aljay and the boys went to the house. we came home and Uncle Leroy was there with two big pans of his delicious jalapeno poppers! So yum! Aljay had food and a cake ready too. Loved it!

And because I couldn't help myself I wrote a separate post about turning 30 just for fun.

And now we have Sefa's birthday to look forward to, Pioneer Day, and hopefully getting our house sold!
