30 Flirty and Thriving!!!!
Yaaayyyy I made it 30!!! Woohooo!!!
I've had mixed feelings about turning 30.
When I was 27 I used to feel like 30 was soooo old and was really not looking forward to it. When I was 28/29, I decided 30 wasn't going to be so bad
and to just suck it up and face reality
and to just suck it up and face reality
(besides I had 4 kids which already made me feel old).
So then I decided that I wanted to welcome my 30s with a super fit hot body
(or just skinnier at least)
and commenced Operation Get Fit and the current ongoing Project Bikini Body.
but yeah it's still a work in progress to say the least. shux

So then I slapped myself and reminded myself
to be grateful for the life I've been blessed to have.
And now after realizing all that I have been blessed with, I've realized
that there is no reason why I shouldn't be excited!
So that's where I'm at now!
EXCITED!
Excited for what lies ahead in the next decade!
The 20's were really awesome though.Shall we quickly recap? Why not.

And now...just for fun, here are
30 Random Things About Me
- I love chocolate and don't like fruity/sour candies.
- Chocolate chip cookies are my weakness.
- I love wrist watches but don't have one (last one broke because of Viiga).
- I used to like scary movies, but not any more. Thanks to my husband I'm now very much into action, adventure, and martial arts kine movies.
- I love to read (mostly self-improvementbooks) and can go through one pretty quickly.... but haven't made it a priority (who has time to read books?).....last book I finished was a Sesame Street book.
- I am an avid believer in journal writing, but since starting the blog I don't write in my journal as often.
- I love to sing, but I'm allergic to correct lyrics and correct pitch.
- I love to cook but don't like to bake.
- I love having organizational things like calendars, planners, high lighters, binders, etc.
- During the college days I loved to go clothes shopping, now I get so impatient and irritated....Probably cause my body has changed so much over the past 8 years and now I'm relearning how to dress my body shape.
- I'm self conscious about my weight because I've gained so much weight over the years. Which is why I don't like taking pics and sometimes change outfits multiple times in the morning before church and work. I go through this cycle where I am discouraged, sad/depressed, then don't care, then confident, and then something doesn't fit and I'm back to discouraged, sad, etc...
- I love watching makeup tutorials and makeup reviews on youtube.
- I work really hard to stay optimistic, and focused on the positive, and to maintain an attitude of gratitude.
- I want to travel the world. New Zealand & Australia particularly have always been top of my list.
- In 5th grade I wanted to be Sporty Spice. Then by 8th grade I wanted to be Aaliyah.
- I went through a phase in high school where I thought I was Black. (Jr & Sr year) I sounded like an East Coast version of West Coast Cali raised Samoan kids. I got cornrows in my hair several times and then learned how to braid on my own..then started my side hustle of braiding hair for money.
- I was kind of a tomboy growing up and was still a tomboy when I got to college. Uati would always shake his head and tell me to change from my basketball shorts or sweats to some jeans and a blouse.
- I'm junk at sports now but I'm always down to try anything.
- Aljay was my first and only boyfriend in college and after about a month of dating, I knew I was going to marry him.
- I love the shows Fixer Upper, World of Dance, So You Think You Can Dance, and Master Chef.
- I don't care for some trends/traditions like baby gender reveal parties, wedding proposals where the couple already have started planning the wedding and/or bought the rings together (I just think its silly), elaborate promposals, half birthday celebrations, 6 month anniversaries.....like I don't care if other people do em...It mostly bugs me when people want or expect me to do it.
- I can't stand Social media some times....Facebook rants, Instagram Selfies with the totally unrelated caption, overly contoured faces, the kine posts where skinny people who post a full body selfie and then caption "don't pay attention to the whale", people who troll, cyberbullies, .....so irrits
- I partially started my blog because I didn't want to post everything on social media.
- I'm always happy to go to any island reggae concert but would LOVE to go to a Bruno Mars concert...oh and Celine Dion, TLC, Boys II Men (which shouldn't be hard...they come out to Utah often) and the I Love The 90s tour.
- I used to be annoyed that Aljay can take Sunday naps while I stayed up with the kids. BUT after a few years of marriage I've finally learned how to just take a nap without feeling guilty or worried. Part of it has to do with Leila and Sefa being older and more independent.
- I've never been a real spicy food eater but have recently become a fan of sriracha and wasabi.
- I love my kids and husband. They make me laugh and smile every day.
- I love Polynesian dancing but I don't keep up with it because I feel so rusty, out of shape, and out of practice. But every now and then I get the bug and really miss dancing. Lately those Josh Tatofi songs have been getting me all antsy to dancy but I keeeep making excuses to get up and start practicing again.
- I've always been an extrovert and love planning events, get togethers, and activities. And to some extent I still do...but it is the simple things that really rejuvenate my soul and make me happy.
- I want to learn how to speak Samoan and Spanish.
Samoan for obvious reasons and because just understanding the basics isn't enough for me.
Spanish because I feel bad when Spanish speakers get mad at me for not knowing the language that I look like I should be able to speak hahaha. forreals tho.
Well now that was fun!
I'm done.
Time to get back to life.
