Feb 6 - People of the Pacific (POP) This year Orem Jr HS started a POP club that meets during the flex period on Thursdays every week. They are planning to have a showcase at the end of the semester. So we've started teaching dances and I'm just glad I get to join Aljay in attending the practices for now.  Feb 14 - Valentines 🩷 I cannot remember what we did. Between the kids practices, scrimmages, and then helping the little ones get their valentines ready for school, I can't remember if Aljay and I did anything lol  Feb 17 - Leila's 2nd Volleyball Tournament Brittany and Aljay went with Leila to this tournament. It was in Farmington (1 hour north of us). I was still recovering from a forever cold and stayed home with the rest of the kids.  Leila played outside hitter and setter (first time yay!). She did pretty good for her first time setting. They made it to the gold bracket and then lost their first game, coming in 3rd in the gold bracket. That means they were home

Jan 13 - Leila's First Club Tournament In Nov (2023) Leila started her first season of club volleyball with the Club Sand program. They had their first tourney as a team in January. Leila played as an outside hitter.  Her team is a 14's team and they played in the 15's division, coming out on top in the silver bracket! It was pretty cool to see. They were so nervous during their first game and gained confidence as they kept playing throughout the day. The matches were so fun to watch! Things our family learned --  These tourneys are full day. Next time I'm coming prepared with way more options for snacks. Even though I packed hella food, Aljay and the kids got bored with the options. Pack your own food next time eeeehh lol Have a charger and power bank. I brought a power bank and didn't let the kids go on my phone, which helped it last all day.  Bring small blankets because the kids will get tired and fall asleep.  Just leave the kids home! hahah It was fun having t

End of Dec 2023

Wow, so I've completely dropped off with blogging on all platforms (paper journal, IG, FB, family blog). *inhale 2, 3, 4....and exhale 2, 3, 4* Welp.... it's 2024 now and I'm recommitting lol. So here we go.  We ended 2023 with...so much lol Not sure how to start so let's just dive in.  Dec 15th - Gallbladder Removal I was getting ready to go to Activity Days with the family and my back/stomach started hurting so bad. It was a different type of pain and it kept increasing. We got to the chapel and I asked Aljay to massage my back. The pain went away but returned immediately after the activity and right when we got home.  I took some ibuprofen and tried to go to bed. As much as I tried to position and reposition myself, I was in so much pain. We decided to go to the ER around 11pm. They scanned my top right side and found gallstones and an inflamed gallbladder. They kept me overnight and then got me in for surgery around 11am the next day. Luckily, I was able to go home

Brraaahhh.....Where are the updates???

I don't even know where to begin or if I will play catch up.  Life's been life-ing.  Busy is the name.  Non-stop is the game.  My rhyming is lame hahahaha.  Anyways....God has been so good. Carrying us through as He always does.  Well, while I'm here, here's a brief summary of Aug.  AUGUST - Saleima was invited by Sefa's old coach to play in a 3-day soccer tournament. She played and had fun but is also wanting to explore other sports. I think we'll put her in softball next.  - Leila did Academy twice a week with Club V. This was a good way to prep her for the Orem youth volleyball feeder league tryouts that were at the end of the month. Academy is where they practice and work on improving their volleyball skills.  - Sefa and Viiga were in full swing with Football. Practice 3 days a week, with an extra day of film study for Sefa, and games on Saturdays.  - About mid-August the kids started back at school. Metuli started kindergarten :) I didn't get to go to

I wish I was better at writing down everything in real-time, but since I missed that...here's all the pics.  It started with a surprise to Aunty Penny's house and an outfit change lol Then we immediately got into the presents And then activities starting with painting... Then press on nails lol Ending with face masks :)  The set up was super duper cute and all the aunties and girlies had a great time!! Sally girl, we love you. You always know exactly what you want to do for birthday. You're the most persistent child at the moment. You are full of energy and excitement and bring so much joy to our family. We love you Slimy.

Championship Games Leila's Volleyball team made it to the gold bracket tournament and lost in the championship final. They did so well though and lost to a very tough team. They're team has played together for 3 seasons now and have made huge improvements. Leila is one of the best on her team, but needs to play on a more competitive team to really grow and improve.  Our two littles were awesome supporters throughout the season.  The boys came out victorious and won their tournament! They did so well! Aljay had a lot of fun coaching them. I'm glad I was able to be at their game. SALEIMA's 7th BIRTHDAY All the kids got sick the week leading up to her birthday. Of course that didn't stop her super Aunties from making all the plans lol.  On Friday, Britt planned (and Penny and I supported of course hahahaha as this always goes hahah) a little girls night slumber party, complete with painting, nails, face masks, and prezzies! Lol  Saleima had her besties (her sisters and
