November 2025

NOV 16 - Primary Program

I got absolutely no photos from this day. The kids did great, as usual.

NOV 20 – Saleima’s Birthday!

Love my mini! The moment November hit, she gave us daily reminders that her birthday was coming up.

She kicked off her big day waking up to her presents and our traditional decorated mantle.

Then it was off to school! We brought donuts for her class and checked her out early. Naturally, she also asked if her other siblings could be checked out too.

We picked up the high school kids, grabbed a few things for her birthday dinner, headed home, and she got to dive into her presents. This meant coloring in her Wicked-themed coloring book and making bracelets—pure joy for her.

For dinner, she requested spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. We wrapped up the night with an Oreo ice cream cake and Brittany taking the three little girls to watch Wicked For Good.

Then on Saturday night, Metuli and Saleima had a sleepover at Aunty Penny’s house—top-tier stuff on Saleima’s birthday wishlist!!

We love our girl and loved celebrating her!

Our Favorite Things About Saleima

  • She’s the leader of the younger girls—aka the tiny losers (a name coined by the tiniest loser, Salani). They’re currently trying to rebrand as the tiny winners.

  • She’s pretty responsible and help a ton in taking care of them.

  • She’s my mini. She loves having a plan.

  • Her quick comebacks catch us off guard all the time.

  • She’s funny.

  • She’s moved on from soccer and wants to give basketball a try.

  • She’s always down for crafts or anything artsy.

  • She always makes the “travel team”—FOMO is strong with this one.

Nov 23 - Afele Family To'ona'i

We had our Afele side gather together for our Thanksgiving. It's always good seeing cousins and all their kids. We had good food, fun games, and good times with the kids.

Nov 27 - Thanksgiving

The boys started their morning with Turkey Bowl, then cooking, and Thanksgiving meal with the family! Peyton and Ian and the kids, Penny and Lahvjal, and my parents were all in attendance. We ate, played games, and then went home or took naps.

And that was November!
