May [1st half]
Elijah's Baptism
We are so happy we were able to witness Elijah's baptism. Meilani and Emily gave beautiful talks. Bob baptized Elijah and Aljay was able to stand in the circle for the confirmation.

It ended up being a very special weekend for the Tafiti family. Elijah and Uncle Pio were baptized. And Tala and Josh's baby Daniel was blessed. We missed the bridal shower for Si'us fiance because it was around the same time as the baptism, but all good things were happening. It was just us and Uncle Mia's family so I'm really glad we went. It was so good to see all the kids!
Viiga's 3rd Birthday
Super Saturday
Saturday, May 13
By afternoon we had pretty much finished up the things that needed catching up and then headed to Maiko's graduation party to help cook and set up. It was at a park in Provo so the kids had tons of fun playing in the field and the volleyball sand pit.
The food was ON POINT!!! Fa'alifu kalo, potato salad, green salad, redondos hot dogs, sausage, kalbi ribs, chicken, mulipipi, mamoe, lumpia, watermelon, chip company cookies, cake, and how come I was in heaven!!!
We definitely needed the soda to help move down all the lololo-ness. But everything was sooooo yummmm.
Mother's Day
Sunday, May 14
So we'll back up to Saturday night because part of my Mother's day treat was on Saturday night. So after we came home for the party, we showered our crusty kids and put them to bed. Then Aljay set up my Mother's Day treat while I took a nice long shower without any interruptions.
Oh and I cut my hair....because I've been wanting to but I'm too broke to pay for it so before I showered I watched a few youtube videos...and yeah I got scissor happy but it wasn't anything extreme. Turned out pretty decent but I'll probably go in and cut more off sometime when we have money for it.
Anyways...so I come downstairs and this guy has a spa set up in the dining room. Like massage table, candles, music, and on the tv was a tropical setting with wave sounds lol. I was greeted with a tropical smoothie hahaha. And then he gave me the best full body massage ever!!! Not being kinky or nuttin! He had the oils ready and had done his research (youtube) and worked out all the knots in my back. It was sore but oh my life my back felt sooooo much better! He massaged my entire back, neck, arms, legs, and ended with my feet. OKA I need to treat myself to these massages more often!!! I slept sooooo well that night.
Okay but let's move to Sunday, actual Mother's day-
I woke up at 7:30 and got myself ready. Then at 8:30 I was like "Oh Crap its 8:30!" So I get everyone up and dressed. Then come downstairs just 5 minutes before 9am and tell Aljay to scrap breakfast, just do cereal for the kids lol
Then we get to church late and then Saleima doesn't want to stay in nursery because of all the strange new faces (the young women and some of the Elder's Quorum lol) and I can't take her to Aljay because he's teaching in primary...so by third hour I've already thrown in the towel with this whole Mother's day business.....and I already was in a bit of a mood before church because all I wanted for Mother's day was to be on time to church and not have to get anyone but myself ready for church (and it didn't happen)....but then 3rd Hour rolls in and softens my heart.
The high priest came in cluuuuutch!!! They did a slideshow presentation with a slide of every single sister in the ward. Then they brought in coconut cake and macadamia nut ice cream. Then they each spoke on a particular topic and ended with a short video that Uncle Gaugau put together. It was beautiful! And then they presented the relief society with a huge board that had all the slides of each sister printed and put nicely together. It was so sweet and definitely a beautiful and memorable tribute to mothers.
PG 10 Mother's Day 2017 Tribute Video (I'm not sure if this link will work but I'll put it here in case it does lol)
After church we went home and Aljay warmed up some leftovers and we ate and I took a nice long 3 hour nap! And that was about it :)
