JUNE Happenings

Our 11th Anniversary
Our wedding anniversary is June 11th, but on that day we attended the funeral of Cadon Buttel, son of Candice & Benzo Buttel. Benzo became one of Aljay's good friends when we moved here. His son Cadon was 19 when he had drowned. We wouldn't be anywhere else but at the funeral. After the funeral  service we took the kids to a nice family dinner.

Got to see Uncle Milton and Mileen
Tyler and Juanita moved into Vineyard (which is our ward boundary). We took over some dinner and got to hang out little bit :) Always good to see family!

Father's Day
Just before Father's day both Aljay and I started feeling sluggish, bloated, and blaah. So when Father's day came around, Aljay wanted simple. So breakfast in bed was relatively light. Meatloaf, potato mash, green salad, and fruit for to'ona'i, and brownie sunday's for dessert. I was a bit surprised he wanted meatloaf cuz I was prepared to do Samoan food or a steak and seafood dinner. But I think he knew that I would appreciate an easy to cook meal! And I did!

This year I got him gifts! Yay! lol He got two jogger pants that I ordered from Jerica and a nice white tie for when the temple opens up again. *ok fine I cheat, the white ties were a gift the relief society put together for all the Elders in the ward. Also, the joggers were for him, but they fit me so nicely too 😂😂 And look I only have one photo to show for it eeeh I'm so junk lol.

Jumping Into Manusina Art
Throughout the month of June, Aljay has been so busy with art projects. It's been a blessing, no doubt. I keep thinking "who buys art during a pandemic and recession?" but aaaay we'll take it! LOL It's definitely the Lord's tender mercies.

Anyways...my last day for work with UofU is June 30th. I'm finishing up reports, cleaning out my office at UVU, and closing out before I start on my next adventure >>> Focusing solely on Aljay's art business.

He's had to do everything on his own with little help from me. I answered a few emails and scheduled a few things for him in the past, but now I'm going to put all my energy towards building the business and organizing the systems a bit more. We need to set up a more organized process especially with Aljay's newest venture being added to the mix soon--> music and eventually merchandise.

With Manusina Art I really want to break down the costs of production, do more research on pricing, clean up the website, establish set operations for inquiries and order, and set up an online portfolio. Oh and then on top of that, work with Penny to refine the social media platform presence.

What am I getting myself into??? hahahhahah. I have very little knowledge and experience with these things!!! lol I find myself in the middle of excitement and anxiety, but I'm liking it. I feel like I'll always eventually go back to the Education field, but right now I need to be at home with the kids and my husband needs a business partner.

**Channeling alllll the positive vibes and good energy**

We're gonna need it!

Anyways, I'm excited for next month, new adventures, more learning, and more growth.
