Keiki Update

Awwwwwwwwww our babies :)
Can't believe we have 5 kids and that they are growing so fast!!!
Love our little tribe :)

Leila
Our Book Worm, Strong Girl, and Second Mom

She is the best big sister and super helper I could ever ask for. She is doing really well in school and loooooves to read and color/draw. She gets shy in front of people but is so funny and witty.  She is a good girl and is always well behaved in school and church. She is an awesome eater (sometimes too awesome) and likes to watch food and craft youtube tutorials. She is so smart and sometimes a little botz to her brother Sefa. I crack up when I hear their conversations.

She is turning 8 in March and is preparing to be baptized. We recently attended a Baptism Preview for all the primary kids who will be baptized this year. During the preview I couldn't help but feel so excited for Leila, not just because she will be getting baptized but because she will be starting Achievement Days this year!!! So fun!!!

She doesn't complain when we ask her to do things...but she will enlist help from Sefa lol She get's Saleima ready when we are going somewhere (this includes showers, getting her diaper and clothes on, and brushing Saleima's hair).

Can't believe how fast the time has gone and how amazing this girl is. So proud of her and all she has become and will become.

Iosefa
The Ride or Die, Loyal to his Father, Still has selective hearing son.

This kid is a crackup. He came home one day and wanted to roller blade outside. I told him he had to finish his homework first. How come he went in the house and came out two minutes later with his completed homework.

Sefa: Here Mom! (holding up his worksheets) I finished my homework. Can you sign my homework calendar?
Me: You already finished your homework? What homework did you do?
Sefa: Umm...Math. I did one page.
Me: Let me see.
Sefa: (holding it up but not handing it to me) See it's done! (explaining while I'm reaching for the papers) The only thing is I accidentally wrote Leila's name....on accident.
Me: OH reallllyyy???? You accidentally wrote Leila's name in her handwriting?
Sefa:  ummmmm yeah!

Boy please. Try again. hahaha

Sefa is our loud talking child. Without even realizing it, he naturally talks so loud all. the. time. We are constantly reminding him to turn down his volume. The only time he is quiet it when he is in trouble. He likes to shut down and not say a word when he is being scolded or getting a lecture. #faaliiking

On the flipside,  he always looks after his little sister Saleima. He is pretty patient with Viiga, considering how much Viiga pesters him. He doesn't like to do chores but when he does clean, he does a really good job lol. He is also pretty good about keeping his room tidy.

He is tender hearted and kind. Super silly and super funny. He loves to dance. Hates onions. A natural athlete. Is pretty good at math and problem solving. Still can fall asleep anywhere and sometimes falls asleep in the most random places around the house.

Viiga
My best friend, avid youtube watcher, and singer.

He asks eeeevverryyy day to watch youtube videos on my phone. He is still crazy and loud and full of energy. But he can also be so gentle and calm. He annoys the heck out of me sometimes, but is the only kid to always tell me that he loves me. He also reminds me everyday that we're best friends and gives me hugs and kisses.

He talks a lot. Sometimes we have to work a little harder to decipher his language, but he is very persistent in getting his point across. He's super bright and full of imagination. Loves trucks and cars and airplanes. Is a pretty good eater. Not the best listener. Can be very stubborn and super crybaby when he's having those moments.

He also likes to sing. You will catch him singing to himself randomly throughout the day.

He's excited about school and really wants to go to school. We told him Sunbeams is Church school lol He loves going to class but doesn't like sharing time too much. Aljay is still giving him pep talks before sharing time lol But he always leaves his class happy and excited to share what he's learned.

He is so animated and has the best facials ever! He is so unique/crazy and we love him for it!!!

Saleima
The "Princess" and Super Eater.

She doesn't know that there's a new princess in town, but she'll learn real soon. She is a feisty little girl who knows exactly what she wants. She is very persistent, super demanding, and impatient. As the current youngest of the tribe to be at home, she has learned to stand up for herself and fight for what she wants. When all else fails, she does a really bad fake cry lol.

She is speaking more and more. She is really smart and playful. She loves to dance and sing. She is slowly warming up to nursery again. Like reallllyy slow progress... but she actually didn't fight me when we went to nursery one Sunday.

Being home with mostly Viiga, she has picked up a few things from him. Sometimes it feels like we have a mini girl version of Viiga (yikes!). Like Leila, she has a very healthy appetite and can eat alllll day. It's really impressive how much she can eat....but it also gets tiring trying to feed her all the time.

Like Sefa, she likes to dance and can be very silly. She is soooo ready to be potty trained but we as parents have been slacking. I'm pretty sure the transition will be super easy for her when we finally remember to buy her panties.

Metuli
The Real Princess, a Strong Spirit, and our Sweet Preemie.

She has been doing so well in the NICU. We are so blessed that she didn't have any complications. She is getting ready to head home reeaaalll sooon!  ["real soon" can mean a few days to a few more weeks].We are so happy with her progress though! She has been tolerating her feedings well and is getting stronger by the day.

The kids have not met her yet, and are so anxious to meet her. They were sick for a little bit (which is why they couldn't go and see her), and although they are all better now, we rather not bring the tribe in to the NICU #anxietyattack

Metuli was born on Feb 22nd, and typically preemie babies tend to go home around their actual due date (if there are no complications).  We're going to call that day her "home-day".

She is currently 5lbs 11oz, on request feedings, and 21% oxygen (room air). Cannot believe she is a month old. We love her so much!

*UPDATE*  As I am writing this, she is scheduled to come home tomorrow (3/3)!!!!
 SO EXCITED!!!

You can see her progression in album here.

I should probably add the links to the other kid's albums....yeah I'll get to that later lol.

Here are a few random recents of the tribe tho.

Looooovvveeeee these babies!!!
