Sefa turns 4!!

Can you believe it!?! My little man is 4 already!!

Where does the time go?

Happy 4th Birthday
 Iosefa Letoaimealelei Fuimaono!

Fri July 10

Sefa got a head start on his birthday celebration. We originally wanted to take him to a splashpad or pool, but the weather wasn't cooperating. Instead we grabbed a pizza and some drinks and  took all the kids to Nickel City and invited Selesi and her three kids to join in (so last minute but they ended up coming YAY!) Her son Fatu is the same age as Sefa and they get along so great! Their oldest, Zara, became instant bff's with Leila. Their youngest, Nu'u, is similar to Viiga- quiet and just goes with the flow.

After a few hours at the arcade we made our way to the Levi's house to celebrate Sis. Kathy Levi's birthday. The kids love to play with Michael and Joy's kids! We spent a few more hours there and then made our way home.

We stopped by the store to pick up a small cake for Sefa. We didn't tell the kids about it and made them go straight to their room for bedtime. While Aljay started the kids with lotu, I  prepped the cake and walked it upstairs to the kids room. I got there right when the hymn ended and Aljay started off the Happy Birthday song. The look on the kids face was one of pure excitement and surprise. Sefa blew out the candles and we all headed downstairs for some cake. How bout the two kids didn't even like the german chocolate cake because of the coconut. #cakefail lol

Sat July 11

We had an early start (7am) with our ward's emergency mock drill! Our ward is working on Emergency Preparedness and the focus for the month of June was on preparing 72 kits. So this was a mock drill to see how prepared we are and to test run for response time. Each family was supposed to be notified of the meeting spot through either phone call or text from their block captain the morning of, and then meet up with everyone at the location. We were the last one's there lol. We were supposed to also bring our 72 hour kits....buuuttt we grabbed everything we could in 5 minutes...so we showed up with our 72 hour kids. lol

PG 10 Ward

Since we were already up, I thought we could make use of our day and get some summer cleaning done.

Obviously that didn't happen. Thank you Leila for taking a pic of it. We all crashed and woke up at noon- just in time to get ready for the Elder's Quorum activity- BBQ at a Manila Creek Park in Pleasant Grove.

It was at a man made "beach". Closest thing we have to a real beach so we'll take it!
Sefa had so much fun though. He spent half his time on the sand building sandcastles.

Sefa, Zues, Simba

The water was a bit cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Leila and Sefa swam all day. Viiga got his swim in, until his lips turned purple and he couldn't stop shivering.  He didn't want to leave, but I pulled him out before he drank any more of that yuck water. There was a little creek that flowed into the reservoir buuttt thats not enough flow to make me want to get in.

We left the park at about 9pm and picked up some yummy chocolate frozen custard from Culver's before heading home. Totally forgot to get Sefa his traditional free slurpee from 7-11.  Next year kid!

Happy Birthday my handsome boy!!!
