Fitness Journal: AUG 2020



Let's have a reminder of the goals shall we...well, more like the goals we started out with at the beginning of the month. Mind you I have adjusted my goals as the weeks have progressed---
  • Movement
    • 3 walks a week (was 4, but we decided to be more realistic)
    • 2 intensive movements - either an intensive from Mutu or zumba or really anything that requires my undivided attention for at least 30 mins. 
    • Ab therapy (Mutu) EVERY DAY!!!
  • Eating
    • More veggies/fruits
    • Less of the bad stuff
  • Weight Goal for end of August: Lose 6 lbs
  • Starting Date: Aug 3 (Monday, duh)

Oh and I took some pics!! Finally remembered! And no there isn't any difference after a month. My belly is still so bloated and I cringe at these, but I need to document this. I have faith that I'll get to where I want to be and one day these will make really awesome "before" pics lol. Oh and I'll get better at taking pics lol.

Overall thoughts--
  1. Did not hit my weight loss goal this month, but also didn't exercise like I was trying to. 
  2. My soda intake is not good. 
  3. I need to take better pics and clean my mirror lol.

8/4 - Walk, Core
8/5 -  👎 But I was pretty active and moving all day (cleaning, moving things, grocery shopping, etc)
8/6 - 👎
8/7 - She went to the gym👀👊👏👏👏👏😁😁😁 but did I do much? That is the question. Not enough in my opinion, so I count it as a walk lol. 
8/8 - Does swimming count? The answer is NO Sandra! 👎

Week 1 Reflection: 2/3 walks👍 and 0/0 for the other two goals. Also, eating was meh.

8/12- walk👏👏 'bout time!! and we still have Fri and Saturday to at least hit the weekly goal!
8/13 - 👍 played soccer with the kids after their practice. I'm counting it.

Week 2 Reflection: 

ok...let's be real here. We need some work! Working out in the evenings is a no go. My eating has been pretty good though. I'm making better choices and listening to my stomach when it's trying to tell me that it's full! But I need a better system..so here's what I'm going to change up in my daily routine next week.  
  1. Walk with the kids to the bus stop in the morning. They start school next week so I think that will work out. 
  2. Do my ab therapy every morning before the walk. It takes 15 mins..which I think I spend on social media when I wake up anyways...soooo yeah.
  3. I need to be up early enough to get my scripture study in aaand
  4. I need to make time for my intensives. sooooo that means....
  5. I need to revise my block schedule to make sure I get church calling stuff in, work stuff, house keeping stuff, and "me" time. 
So what I guess I'm saying is that I need to just change my mindset to "JUST DO IT" mode and get myself 👏OR👏GAN👏IZED. Good job girl. Way to be long winded lol.

8/22 - Didn't walk, but did spend a good two hours pushing a stroller over grass fields trying to catch all the kids' soccer games. 

Week 3 Reflection: 
I'm pretty proud of my effort. This was the first week getting adjusted to kid's going to school and adding soccer games & practices to our schedules and new routines. Eating was still meh, but overall I'm pretty happy about my walking, even if it is just 15 minutes each time. 

As far as intensives go...let's add intensives next month. We got to readjust a bit..so I'm going to end this month just focusing on--
  1. Getting walks in
  2. Drinking enough water
  3. Getting enough sleep 
  4. Eating enough whole foods.

8/29- Walk 👍 We had a full on day!!! Soccer in the morning, followed by Lagoon for a good 7 hours💥 Got my 10,000 steps in!

Week 4 Reflection:
Not gonna lie, this week was weirder than normal. I finally got my period and that threw me way off! I couldn't figure out why I was so bloated, sore back, and short tempered (you know...like more than usual lol)!! And then Wednesday came through and solved the mystery hahah!
Eating was alright, but that darn soda is soooo yum in this heat! Anyways, weigh in is tomorrow. Let's hope for the best!
