Project Bikini Body [Feb]

PROJECT BIKINI BODY is in full effect! 

Halfway through December of 2016, Aljay decided to start going to the gym again. He started off going about 3 days a week. Once he started seeing results, he was even more pumped and is now close to being addicted. About the second week of January he hit what I call his "beast mode" lol.

This is typically where he starts getting into the pre-workout, protein shake, supplements and all phase. This time, due to budget cuts, he hasn't gone out and bought protein shakes, supplements, and all that (thank goodness). BUT...he has prepped and portioned out our meals, is constantly checking on me to make sure I'm eating my meals (which is easy for me when he's the one meal prepping lol), researching ways on how I can workout with my diastasis recti, going to the gym daily, and flexing in mirrors. And I love it :) 

Having him on the same page as me is a major win. He doesn't just help with healthy eating but with keeping me mentally healthy. He always reminds me to focus on the positive and to anticipate the rewards. It really helps me to remember to be patient with myself and to stay on track. I love my cheerleader/fitness instructor/nutritionist/ counselor that I love to get in tiffs with.

And that's the end of February. We still have two more months to go. We are gunning for May to be "bikini ready". hahahah 

p.s. SHOUT OUT to my little man SEFA!!!!! He loves to exercise and wakes up early to workout with me in the morning. Definitely takes after me....well at least the waking up early part lol

Where are we at now?

EXERCISE: Aljay is killin it!!!!! As for me...mmm I'm not too bad. I need to up my rigor but overall we are both showing consistency. (Week four was tough and slacking tho)

DIET:  We've been getting better about our diet and incorporating healthy food for us and the kids. Still struggling though. Chocolate is my weakness. Then of course when we get really busy and don't take the time to prep our meals and snacks then we turn to convenience stores. BUT we're slowly getting there. 

CONSISTENCY: For working out, I'm gonna give us an A+!!! For eating healthy....maybe like a B. hahaah


And now for everyone's favorite part....the pics! eeegh so irrits!

We both still get a nice layer of cushion on our bellies (more so me than Aljay).... but at least Aljay doesn't get the "Are you pregnant?" questions.......and yes I was asked 3 times within the past week. irrits

But overall we're both getting stronger and finding it harder to lose weight as we get older. But slow and steady wins the race yeah? Frek I hate this race hahahahahha
