Keiki Update: First Month of School done!

Oh man...the kids have been in school for over a month now! Fall break is coming up :) Thought it was time for an update.

LEILA GIRL

  • Strong 5 year old.
  • She's memorized my phone number and is very very proud of it.
  • She LOVES school.
<<She was awarded the Geneva Giant of the Week for her Kinder class #dasmykid!
  • She goes to bed easily and wakes up easily...hope she keeps it up going into her teen years.
  • Her teacher LOVES her.
  • She LOVES school lunch. She gets chocolate milk everyday.
  • She is still sassy and such a crack up.
  • Is awesome at doing her "homework" aka online learning program that Sefa also does.
  • She is an awesome helper and awesome cleaner!
  • I love watching her play with his her younger siblings.
  • She's still a good eater....sometimes too good

SEFA DAWG
  • My favorite 4 Year old.
  • He is loving preschool.
    • Teacher said he has trouble keeping his hands to himself...little monkey
  • Has to sleep early (8pm) if we want him waking up happy.
    • We have figured out that if him and Leila go to bed by 8pm/8:30pm they are well rested and better mannered the next day. They usually get up between 7:30 and 8!!
  • He likes coloring and reading books.
  • Still a dancing King!
  • He's so loud. As in his normal talking volume feels like he's at 10000+ decibals when he's standing right in front of your face.
  • Still going strong with his online preschool program! Even though I have to bribe him sometimes.
  • He's an awesome organizer! Lines up our shoes ever so carefully!
  • Is awesome at cleaning! When his cleaning bug kicks in...or when we kick it into him lol
  • Is JUST LIKE HIS DAD!!! When he has his mind set on something, there's nothing that can derail him...his determination turns into defiance when he doesn't want to listen to us. He's also very particular when he's organizing stuff. Yup...just like his Dad.

VIIGA INNGGAAA
  • 16 month old rascal!
  • Crazy hair!
  • Awesome eater most of the time.
  • LOVES to run and destroy the house
  • Gets into everything!
  • Likes books and cars or airplanes
  • LOVES babies but doesn't know how to be gentle
  • Thinks hitting is a game
  • Folds his arms and kneels for prayer
  • Says "ina" for "inu" (drink)
  • Can identify his nose
  • Is the most rebelious out of the three kids.
  • Walks juuuuust like his Grandpa Viiga.
Couldnt have been named more appropriately!
  • LOVES to vaccuum.
  • Has the best facials!!
  • Another Mr.Aloha.

Mom and Dad
We are having a blast taking them to school, seeing them all excited to learn, watching their development and most especially their JOY when they have learned or mastered something. We always trip out at how fast they are growing!

We have finally fallen into a schedule that works! I'm still trying to convert Aljay to the idea of schedule/calendar/planning. It's like years of having to follow someone else's schedule (like employers) has created a sincere disdain for the words "system" and "schedule". He's never been a fan but is slowly getting the picture as he sees the benefits of having a schedule. I'm seeing little wins here and there :) yay!

We are super grateful that we are able to have the type of schedule that we have now, because it allows us more time. Time for family, time for church callings, time for date nights!

At Leila's School assembly where she received her "Geneva Giant of the Week" Award.

Movie night after Mom failed to get them to their school carnival on time

The kids homework chart. It's amazing what kids will do for a sticker
(well at least Leila #overachiever)
