Kid #4: Her Birth Story

Image
Meet the newest addition to our family.... Saleima Lupeautino Fuimaono Born Friday November 20, 2015 7 lbs 12 oz 11:02 PM American Fork IMC Hospital American Fork, UT Saleima  (after my maternal Grandmother) Lupeautino  (Aljay's Mom, her paternal Grandma) Fuimaono ( keepin it consistent with the rest of the tribe ) Here's the play by play on her birth.... Wednesday November 11, 2015 I woke up around 8 with mild contractions. By 10am they were 5 mins apart. This was consistent for a couple more hours. In the past, my contractions that were 5 mins apart meant it was time to go in. We decided we'd wait a bit, get the kids over to Penny and Vjals house and play by ear. By 5pm we checked into labor and delivery....we waited an hour to see how things went...and boo my contractions slowed down and eventually stopped and they said we could go home. I told Aljay not to post anything until I get checked....but he didn't listen. So we ...

Octoberness

Fall is in the air. The leaves are changing. The weather is cooling. There is a chill in the air that whispers of Winter approaching. I'm really learning to appreciate the changing seasons. Here's a bit of our October happenings. Beginning of the Month Leila's award assembly for "Geneva Giant of the Month " So proud of this little girl and her desire to learn. She loves learning! She got a bunch of cool vouchers to eat free at a bunch of places. Keep it up Leila! We love free food!! LOL nbfr Our first Parent Teacher Conference Oh so this was fun. Leila's teacher had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Leila is soaring at the top of her class and is definitely a teacher's pet lol. #overachiever #justlikeMommy Sefa....first comment from his teacher was "he is such as sweet boy" ahhahah. Nah he's doing very well. Meeting all his pre-school standards. Just needs reminders and prompts to help transition from o...

Parent Moment: Leila's first crush

Story time!! OK so Leila has been little miss speller- sounding out every word she sees (signs, books, shirts, anyything!!). She will ask you how to spell at least 235 different words a day (or so it feels like).  I had noticed that she kept asking me how to spell JT...and I was like "is this is trick question?"  I gave her the look like   you know how to spell it so stop asking!  But it would keep coming up on different days.  So one night as we were waiting for the boys to finish their shower I asked her who JT was. She grabbed her head and said "MOM I can't stop my brain! I keep thinking and thinking and then my brain changes to LOVE!" I was like "as in love like how you love your family?" Her reply- "No like boyfriend and girlfriend!! But I don't want a girlfriend cause I'm a girl and I don't like girls but I like a boyfriend!" I could almost hear my heart beating as my chest began to get hot and the voice in my head was s...

Pregnancy: What I've Learned

This one is for my precious daughters ... Lately I've been thinking so much about kids; Having them, bearing them, raising them.  I'm so amazed with the female body and everything that women go through physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually in this process. It's just amazing.   I've always wanted to write a pregnancy post but I never felt qualified enough ( I still dont ), and I didn't know exactly how I wanted to go about it, and yada yada yada....I don't care anymore.  Got so much on my mind about this topic that I need to record it before I forget most of it. Hopefully it will come together in some cohesive way that makes sense. Most importantly,   I want something to reference back to one day when my kids are having kids ( wow that thought just scared the crap outta me lol ).  I'm sure I'm going to keep adding to this list, but at least it's a start. I want to make sure I get at least a few important things down and ha...

Man, August just flew on by and boy has it been just full of some big "firsts" and new beginnings. To start off... NEW SCHOOL The first two munchkins of our tribe started their first year of school at Geneva Elementary! Leila started Kindergarten and Sefa started Preschool :)  annnndd they loved it! We'll come on...it's kindergarten and preschool...they better love it cause these first years of school are the best...everything after sort of goes down hill lol. I thought I was going to cry when we took them to school but I was pretty happy-nervous for them! I think I was more excited to go home and "relax" with the lone ranger Viiga. My man adjusted well to his new responsibilities of having to do morning chores by himself. He gets really excited when his siblings get home :) New Family Tradition- First Day of School Breakfast We wanted to do something special for the kids first day of school and decided to make it family traditio...
