November 2020
OK..time for a lil recap of last month. Hopefully my brain can remember things. *And this is why taking pictures is so necessary! Because then I can backtrack and have dates and remember things that happened...uhhgg....anyways...here goes.
11/5 - Girl's Night Out
We tried out the other Brazilian bbq place. Was pretty yum. Not pictured- Penns & Brit. No kids, no husbands, just the girls! lol Was such a nice evening.
11/20 - Saleima's 5th Birthday
Full post HERE
So a few days before her birthday, Saleima started feeling sick. She came downstairs not looking too good and said she was really tired. She didn't have a fever so I let her sleep on our bed all day and monitored her temperature and kept her hydrated.
In the afternoon she started to get warm so Aljay gave her a cool bath to bring her temp down. She took it like a champ and then went back sleep. The next day she was feeling way better. I had her eat and rest still. The next day, she was back to normal! That was the extent of her sickness. Thank goodness.
But then Aljay and I got it. Luckily our symptoms did not require hospitalization. The symptoms were really weird though. No taste or smell. Body aches and fatigue off and on. Foggy brain (but then that could just be my Mom brain lol).
11/22 - Team Hawaii returns home
It was so nice to have Ben, Nina, and Leta with us for a month. The kids were able to bond with their cousin Leta. Tuli and Saleima are closest in age to Leta so of course Saleima was always bestie bestie and Tuli was a bully. Tuli would scratch Leta and Leta was too nice to fasi Tuli so that was a constant reoccurring scene. Lol.
We then spent the next two weeks in quarantine.
11/26 - Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks to Covid we had a tasteless Thanksgiving hahahah. We could barely smell or taste anything so we're not sure how the food all ended up, but at least it looked good haha. My imagination had to step in for all the useless taste buds. But I'm gonna say the food was good lol
And here's some random pics from November.
Going to the park and playing pickleball.
These two best frenemies
Home Church and snacks
After many failed attempts....Aljay was finally able to make a decent custard pie. And pictured on the right was Saleima's pic while setting up our Thanksgiving table lol
Sundays :)
