September 4 - MULAN

OMG we were looking forward to this since we first saw the previews last year!!! To say we (Aljay and I) were excited for this is a huge understatement. We were suuuuuppperr excited!! I love me some Asian style martial arts type of movie and was ecstatic that Disney would take the live action Mulan in that direction. Then of course I was over the moon when I saw Donny Yen, Jet Li, and Jason Scott Lee in it.

We set up the projector in our living room, arranged the couches in rows like the theaters haha, had an Asian themed dinner, with lots and lots of treats for the movie. The Toli's came over and it was a good time! Loved the movie!!! We followed up the movie with some good ol karaoke.

Luckily, we didn't have soccer games the next day. The three oldest of the Toli girls ended up sleeping over and the next day I took them to the splash pad. So all the kids played while I got to hang out with my little cute dumpling. It was a great weekend!

September 12 - Mom's 66th Birthday

Milla came up with a great idea to have a cake and bouquet made for Mom. Mom's sweet Relief Society President was able to pick it up and drop it off to Mom. She was so surprised and happy! We asked the bakers at Cheat Day bakery to put $66 in the cake. Mom loved it and had fun pulling out the never ending stream of dollar bills lol.

Tui and I put together a box and sent it earlier in the week and it arrived a day after her birthday. She was happy to get her shoes, knee brace, and cards from the kids. We all jumped on messenger in the evening when the cake was delivered. So glad we could do that despite all being physically distant.

September 14 - Ward's Biggest Winner Challenge

I started a Ward weight loss challenge between the Relief Society and the Elder's Quorum....hoiii...which means we (cuz I'm dragging Aljay into this duh!) have to do it lol. It's a 4 week challenge and which ever organization loses the most weight percentage wins! Loser plans the ward Christmas party haha.

Every week there are smaller challenges and prizes for participants. It's been so much fun seeing ward members get charged up and excited about it.

*Check out my infographics I created for each week's challenge. As a non-graphic designing person, I'm very proud of my efforts LOL

Week 1 Challenge: NO SODA + Drink 1/2 gallon of water a Day

Week 2 Challenge:  Increase Fruit & Veggie Intake

Sept 21st - Orem & Provo move back to Orange phase

So this comes to no surprise. Forreals, when it comes to COVID safety and procedures Utah is like "oh no sir we need to get this economy moving!"....yes there are plenty who feel strongly about masks and some who are polar opposite feeling like masks are an infringement on their rights. 😒

Here's where we stand---Wear a mask when you go places. If a business requires a mask, wear it. Don't go out into crowded places. Wash your hands often. Carry hand sanitizer. Be proactive also. Get out and get some sun. Exercise. Take your vitamins. Eat healthy. Honestly I don't mind the masks too much because it keeps me from touching my nose and mouth, which is a good thing! And after I take my mask off I sanitize or wash my hands.

Luckily for us in Vineyard, we are not under the same restrictions. So we can still have our fall sports. We have about 3-4 games left for the kids so hopefully we get to play through all of them. But just as a precaution they will require spectators to wear masks on game days. Fine with me, I just want the kids to play.

Sidenote>>> Aljay is an awesome coach! His team is undefeated! Also, all our kids are showing improvements each week! It's been so much fun to coach/cheer them on!

Sept 25 - Last Soccer Game for Saleima

Saleima's soccer season ended and I'm so glad I was able to be there for her last game. She did so well! Scored a goal, assisted at other times, and just had fun along the way! It was awesome to see her confidence grow over the season. Her coaches were awesome too!

Sept 27 - Last Soccer Game for Viiga

This kid has probably improved the most out of all his siblings. He is naturally athletic and such a fun kid to watch on the field. His face tells everything that he's thinking lol. He too had phenomenal coaches. His head coach is so thoughtful and even had her husband do team photos and take action shots before and during the last game. I'm so grateful because Viiga's games were the ones we had to most often catch just a portion of or miss entirely due to coaching or having to be at Saleima's game.
Below are the pics I took. And then the super nice ones (click here) came from the photographer lol.

Sept 28 - Week 3 Challenge #O13BiggestWinnerChallenge
This week's challenge is to get up and get at least 15 minutes of exercise everyday.

Sept 30 - Island Grinds

We ended the month with this art piece for Island Grinds restaurant in West Jordan.

It's been a blessed month. Praise the Lord.
