Sefa's Baptism

On July 7, 2019 Sefa turned 8 and on August 3, 2019 he was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As parents, Aljay and I were overjoyed and so pleased that he made this decision on his own. He was so fortunate to have all his family there to celebrate with him. Not only were all of Aljay's siblings and parents there, but all my siblings were able to be there as well! That is such a rare thing to happen! We felt so blessed that it panned out that way.

So there was representation from both sides of the family in his program. I'm so grateful for that.

Leading up to the baptism we had several lessons on baptism and the Holy Ghost for our family prayer and scripture study. On the week of his baptism Aljay went through the motions of the baptism to help calm his nerves. I also asked Leila to help by sharing her testimony. She asked if she could participate in his program, so I had her help me do his spotlight. It was so sweet to hear the things she had written down about Sefa.

After the Baptism everyone came over for lunch and it was a fuuuulll house. There were a few videos  I was able to get which you can see here. But other than that, I didn't really get any good pictures. I was able to snap this at the end of the day after all the peoples had left and I could actually sit down and talk to Sefa about his special day and the special covenant he made.

Congratulations my boy! We love you Sefa!
