#SummerBody-1

This is my first follow up since I started 8 weeks ago.

So lets remind ourselves of my goals:
  • 8 Weeks on Keto
  • Stay on Keto until I get below 200 lbs
  • Consistent workout habit/routine
  • or at least some kind of combination of both

And here are my results after 8 weeks on keto, with little to no exercise (lol)-

I haven't taken an "after" pic yet, so I need to get that done asap and I'll add it.

Like I mentioned in the first post, I took measurements in the February when I thought I was going to be serious about my diet lol...Then I started my keto diet and finally took all my measurements after the 8 week keto trial. It wasn't easy at all. I wasn't 100% on point with the diet all the time. For example, I didn't always calculate my fat/protein ratios to make sure I was getting the right amount of macronutrients. The last four weeks were the hardest, but I'm glad I stuck with it!

It would have been way more exciting if I had seen some bigger numbers in terms of weight-loss, but honestly I'm most thrilled about my discipline! Besides, losing an average of a a little more than one pound a week is more sustainable in my opinion. Slow and steady wins this race and this is very much a marathon, not a sprint.

What I Learned and Re-Learned
  • I CAN have the discipline to cut out sweets and carbs
  • Self-control is empowering
  • I still struggle with consistent exercise
  • I am more accountable when Aljay and I are aligned in our goals

What's Next
  • Stay the course (in regards to diet)
I think I'm going to take a short break from Keto, check up with my doctor to make sure my stats are okay, and then get back to the diet until I get to a healthier weight.
  • Heavy focus on consistent exercise
This is where I really struggle. So I'll try to start off small and then work my way into longer workouts and healthy habits. I feel like this is the next area that I need to prove myself in. I know I can be disciplined about my eating, now I just have to be consistent with exercise.
