March 2019
I'm way behind and have a bit of catching up to do...but so far...here's our March madness :)
March 8th - Diversity In Leadership Conference
At work I do two conferences a year and this academic year has by far been the best year. I'm grateful for the job I have and the opportunity to work with some awesome people.
March 9th- Chelsea's Life Celebration
We were heartbroken to hear of Chelsea's passing, especially for Devin and Ellie girl. We knew Chelsea because of Devin, but we didn't realize how little we actually knew about her life's work until we attended her funeral service. It was inspiring and humbling to hear about all the service she did in her community. She did more in her short life than some people do in an entire lifetime.
The one thing we did know for sure was that she was an amazing Wife and Mother. She loved Devin and Ellie fiercely and took advantage of every opportunity to love and care for them. Her faith and obedience willed the blessings that were poured upon her, Ellie being one of those blessings.
Despite being called back so soon, she most definitely left her loving imprint on us all. God Bless you Chelsea. You've inspired us all to be a little better and live at a higher standard. She truly was and is an elect daughter of God.
March 22nd- Leila's 9th Birthday
Such a fun day for our Leila! Post >>>>> HERE
I was apart of the committee that revived the intercollegiate Pacific islander luau here in Utah. We changed the name to "showcase" cause it really wasn't a luau. It was so fun to watch all the different PI clubs from the various colleges/universities represent the Pacific. Each institution got to pick a Polynesian culture and perform those cultural dances.
March 31st- To'ona'i with Uncle Chu & Aunty Penina
Rachel gave birth (woohoo!!) so Aunty and Uncle were here helping with the kids while Rachel and Mike tended to baby.

UVU had Tahiti and the girls did awesome!!! I was even more proud of the fact that it was completely student led. Our whole family came up and watched (it was hosted at Weber). All the institutions were awesome.
