Leila's 9th Birthday
Happy 9th Birthday
Leila Tauaneai Fuimaono
| Earthly Debut: March 22, 2010 |
Our 1st born turned 9!
We checked the school kids out from school around noon and then took the tribe to Provo Beach....**sidenote** Provo 'Beach' is such a misleading name...it's not a beach...they have one wave pool for boogie boarding/surfing. it's an entertainment center** aaaaanywayss...
Leila and Sefa did the ropes course while we took the little ones bowling. We played a few arcade games and let the kids exhaust themselves in the Mega Playground before heading home. I dropped off the tribe at home to let them prepare for dinner, while Leila and I went to Michael's to let her spend some of her birthday money. She had received a birthday card earlier that week from her Grandma Saleia and Grandpa Joe in Am.Samoa with birthday money. She was stoked to buy color pencils, a slime kit, and drawing pads for herself and Sefa (awww so thoughtful).
We then went home, made food, and broke bread with all the fam- Uncle Vjal and Aunty Penny, Brit, Adam, and our hanai bradda Teki lol. Leila was so spoiled! They brought presents for her and of course her Aunties and Uncles are so cool so she got some awesome gifts like slime and bluetooth headphones and toys and lotion/body spray.
We ended the night by singing Happy Birthday and eating cake & ice cream with the familia...and then Leila and Sefa stayed up until 2:30am watching movies and eating junk food lol.
Not a bad birthday for our 9 year old.
We love her and are so happy she's apart of our family. She is the best oldest child we could ask for. As parents, we are so proud of the young woman she is growing into. Being able to witness her journey has been so joyous and fulfilling. We LOVE YOU LEILA!
