Nov 20 | Saleima's 4th Birthday Our diva princess turned 4! See her birthday post here . Nov 23 | Afele Family Thanksgiving We had our annual Afele Family Thanksgiving at the Eagle Mountain Chapel. Teuila organized it and had such a beautiful setup. It was so much fun! The kids had all the room to run around and play. The adults worked off some of the food with some basketball and all the food was on point! Such a delicious and fun time with family! Nov 27 | Frozen 2 Britt treated us to Frozen 2! It was such a cute movie. The kids had so much fun and my favorite part was watching the movie with a theater full of little kids laughing away with the movie. Nov 28 | Thanksgiving We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving at home with Tui, Brittany, and Lahvjal. Poor Aunty Penny was at home sick and unable to keep food down. *Tis the season for flus, coughs, colds, and stomach bugs* The kids had been sick with colds/coughs so we didn't want to take them anywhere or...

Happy 4th Birthday Saleima

Happy 4th Birthday to our diva girl  Saleima Lupeautino Fuimaono! She is definitely a girl after her own heart! When she knows what she wants, she will persistently ask/go after it.  She is so particular when it comes to her hair and what she wants to wear.  She can be sweet, kind, and cuddly..... but can also be bratty, demanding, and feisty (but hey she's 4 and all the 4 year olds I've raised so far all had varying degrees of this around that age lol) She loves all the girly things in the world (glitter, crowns, pretty dresses, hair bows, shoes, etc) She is a die hard loyal fan of Aunty Penny (like who isn't?) She is low key hilarious and does the funniest little things all the time.  We love her! Here's how her special day went down 7AM  Wake up 7:15    Find out it's her birthday  7:16    Confirm with Mom that it truly is her birthday 7:17    Let everyone in the house know that it is her birthd...

Preggo Update: 3rd Trimester

Image
3rd Trimester Yeeeeeeeehhhhessssss!!!! As I'm starting this post, I'm just hitting 27 weeks and stoked to be in the final trimester of gestation! My belly is large and I'm now in the phase where I get asked more often "when are you due again?....Are you sure you're going to make it January?" lol I really don't mind people asking even though I can predict their reactions, it just gets a bit tiring having the same conversation over and over with different people. I am excited and have been really working hard to keep a calm and positive attitude. I tell you, positive affirmations and meditation and scripture study and prayer ( lol I keep adding more thing as I think more intently about it )...have all been my saving grace. Even though I know I have been riddled with fears such as... Will I develop preeclampsia again? And therefore have another Csection? If I do develop preeclampsia, when will it be? How early will baby be delivered? If I have to hav...

New Family Traditions

Image
With the bits of driving I do for work, I've decided to give podcasts a try. Who knew I'd really enjoy it! Below are the few I've really enjoyed and have found so uplifting and inspiring. One of things I've been inspired to do is to try these two new family traditions! Of course every year I always have the best intentions to start/continue family traditions and every year is a hit or miss.  I'm pretty excited about these and I'm going to give it a go! Here are two we are going to try this year. In Remembrance This year I want to start a Thanksgiving tradition that I'm calling "In Remembrance". The idea is that every November - December we will take the months to focus on things that we need to remember-- this can be principles, people, things we are grateful for, attributes, whatever you want it to be. Last year I was so moved by the movie Coco and wanted to create my own ofrenda but seeing how we aint Mexican lol, I decided ...

Fall Family Fun

10/7 Pumpkin Patch One of our favorite things to do in the Fall is to take the kids to the pumpkin patch! There are several around here in Utah county but one of our favorites is just a few minutes away from our house. They have free games/activities for the kids, the pumpkin patch is just the right size, and the only thing you pay for are the pumpkins that you pick, which are still reasonable priced. They have the best hay rides and there is no admission fee :) Bless their hearts. When we took the kids, the weather was perfect sweater weather! The kids had a blast and all of them slept well that night. 10/8 Movie Date Saleima and Metuli are our two lil munchkins at home. Their typical day consists of driving Aljay crazy and demanding his undivided attention. Today they ran errands with Aljay, enjoyed a Costco lunch, and then a movie date with Daddy :) $5 Tuesdays for the win! Lucky little girls. Lucky Daddy. 10/12 City Trucks I saw this free event somewhere o...
