Fall Family Fun
10/7 Pumpkin Patch
One of our favorite things to do in the Fall is to take the kids to the pumpkin patch! There are several around here in Utah county but one of our favorites is just a few minutes away from our house. They have free games/activities for the kids, the pumpkin patch is just the right size, and the only thing you pay for are the pumpkins that you pick, which are still reasonable priced. They have the best hay rides and there is no admission fee :) Bless their hearts.
When we took the kids, the weather was perfect sweater weather! The kids had a blast and all of them slept well that night.
10/8 Movie Date
Saleima and Metuli are our two lil munchkins at home. Their typical day consists of driving Aljay crazy and demanding his undivided attention. Today they ran errands with Aljay, enjoyed a Costco lunch, and then a movie date with Daddy :) $5 Tuesdays for the win! Lucky little girls. Lucky Daddy.
10/12 City Trucks
I saw this free event somewhere online (probably facebook or an email) where the city of Orem brought all their city vehicles and trucks to display for the public. They had free hot dogs and chips as well. I'm trying to get the kids out as much as possible before any snow hits, so we thought this would be fun for the kids. Sure enough they all had so much fun climbing in and out of the different city vehicles. Aljay especially enjoyed getting in the back of the Police car. lol
Corn Bellys
We took the kids to Corn Bellys for the first time. The place is humongous! and a bit on the pricey side so we made sure to stay until closing. They have so many fun activities the kids could easily do a full day there.
Halloween
For Trick-Or-treating the kids had several chances to get candy. There was the Ward Halloween party, the Royal Outreach (Non-profit Organization) trunk-or-treat, and then actual Halloween.
All were a lot of fun, but our neighborhood one takes the prize for best treats! One house did full size candy bars and pretty much everyone did my favorite chocolate candies lol. Lahvjal and Penny came over and took the kids around, which was really nice since Aljay was cooking dinner, setting up the candy (he built a pumpkin head scare crow, set up the speaker with scary music, and sat outside with a scary mask lol). I was exhausted from running around all day for work and then not eating enough, so I just crashed on the couch the whole time.
Here's some pics from one of our pumpkin painting days.
