June | SUMMER FUN

JUNE 16 | Camp Jeremiah Johnson

Such a cute bunch of girls lol
Leila's first summer "camp"

Activity Day girls and cubscouts went out to Camp Jeremiah Johnson for a day of fun! It was just a day trip so they didn't camp over night or anything...but Leila had sooooo much fun....and of course her Daddy did too. They both came back super excited to tell me how it went. And of course Aljay has been dubbed the "party Dad" by the Activity Day girls hahah.

And look...he even took a lot of pics.... way to go Dad!

JUNE 17 | Father's Day

We treated Aljay to breakfast in bed-- Eggs scrambled with onion and mushrooms, topped with kaleve pisupo, side of heavily buttered toast, and an ice cold mango limeade to wash it all down.  YUM

Then we got to church and the Men all got candy leis at the beginning of church...and then the best mango otai and faapapa at the end of church. Lucky guys.

There was so much otai left over that we took a whole jug of it home. We were sooooo stuffed from the papa and otai that we hit a food coma when we got home. We woke up from our naps around 7 and then started on dinner hahahah

Aljay wanted to make his own food and being the good wife that I am...I just cleared the kitched so he could make his lupulu and kalo LOL

Sure we had dinner around 10:30pm but no one was complaining hahaha..

Note to self: step it up! hahah

It's all goods though. I had to speak in Sacrament for Father's day and I did say some pretty awesome things about my husband...so that has to count for something LOL

JUNE 26 | Ali'itasi Open House
So our good friends Matt and Agnes Manuma started up Poly dance classes again. They are champs!!! Aggie just had a baby almost two months ago!!! Maaadddd props to her!

We decided to take the kids to the open house to get them exposed to dancing in hopes that they will love it as much as we did.

Aaaand after the first class it looks like we are going to have 2 participants!! yessss Leila (who was originally very nervous) enjoyed the class and did really well. Sefa wasn't too excited about it #faaliistatus but came around and decided he wanted to be apart of the fun.

You would think that the one who is a natural dancer would like it...but he's definitely one that doesn't like to be pushed into something. hmmm..I wonder if that is a 2nd oldest child thing lol

JUNE 29 - 30| Vineyard Summer Celebrations
So our cute little city had a big celebration for the grand opening of the 18-acre sports complex as well as a summer city celebration.

I love the sports complex! It's right next to our division...just a two minute walk from our house. Splashpad, tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer field, volleyball fields, playground, bike path. It's pretty cool!

So on Friday they had movies on the lawn. The view was so beautiful. This pic was right before the screen was inflated. Teuila and Naela were there with us as well.

Saturday was carnival games and a fireworks show in the evening. The park is so cool! There is so much to do. And we're just so excited that we get to have it right next door! I'm pretty sure we'll get a lot of use out of this 18-acre sports plex.

After the splashpad and park, we headed home. Aljay went to help a friend bbq for their daughters birthday. He came back when the party was getting started to pick us all up, but the babies were all knocked out from the park. So I stayed home with the three littles.

Around 9:45pm I woke up kid 3 and 4 to watch the firework show. We watched the fireworks show from the back of the truck just outside of our house. Best view ever! Aljay and the older two were still at the birthday party but were able to see some the fireworks from the part they were at.

And now some other random June pics....

Arts & Crafts
because one day I was trying to be cool-creative-crafty Mom/thoughtful wife and bought paint and ceramic pots for the kids.... to keep them distracted while Aljay works on one of his paintings....buuttt okaaaa..the clean up was ridiculous. The bathroom was destroyed from them "washing their hands" and the garage was a mess from them making smores afterwards...But those smiles tho!

and yes I did get major cool Mom points!
