May

Oh May.....

May always makes me so Hawaii-homesick. The May day programs, We Are Samoa (which we actually watched thanks to PCCs Facebook livestream! It was sooo good! ILH was my fave!), Hoikes, and graduation parties!!! We get plenty grad parties here...its mostly the food, music, ad environment *like the beach* that I miss about Hawaii graduation parties.

May has typically been  right when the temperature starts warming up here in Utah and I'm itching to get outdoors and do more! I find myself often saying "ooh today is a good beach day!" and then the sad realization hits that we live in Utah...shux

Luckily, so many good things happen in May so I can't complain. Here's what our May has been filled with...

Leila's Baptism!

May 26

When we decided that Samoa was going to be out of the picture, my poor Leila was kind of bummed about it. She wanted to have her grandparents there for her baptism. Both sets would've been there too if we were able to make it to Samoa.

On the other hand, she was excited that she wouldn't have to wait until August to get baptized.

So we got her ready, had Aljay take her pics, and made her Baptism announcement. It was so cute. She picked her favorite dress (which she got from her Grandma Lupe) and told me exactly how she wanted her hair :) You can read about her special day here.

Graduations of course!

May 21
Talia and Sila both graduated from Provo High.

And a Wedding!

May 18
Stole this from Tina...I'll add the rest as soon as they get uploaded from the memory card lol

Special Guest!

hahah...i'm so sad with my lack of pictures...this one will have to do

But yes Aunty Brittany flew up for Leila's baptism and we were so lucky to have her there! She gave the talk on the Holy Ghost (she cried pretty much the whole time), but it was so good.

Family time!

May 28-Memorial Day

Me and the girls (Brit & Metuli) took Leila out shopping. She had a good amount of money from her Baptism and wanted to buy a few things. She was so excited to go shopping! She picked up some swim clothes, an infinity wars (Marvel comics) poster, an atrium kit, shoes, and some Crumbl cookies :) It was so cute watching her pick things and then go home and set up her room lol. Love her!

Last but not least I have to mention...

We fiiiiiiiiinnnaalllllllyyy took FAMILY photos!!!!

You don't even know how happy I was to finally check this off my list. Sui has always been so good at keeping on top of it when it comes to taking family photos! Every time I would see their new photos I would kick my self and say "OK we're going to get them done this year!" hahahahh and then it wouldn't happen.

Last family photo we took was in Hawaii when we were there for Ben & Nina's wedding. Since then  we've been so fail! At first it would be "alright let's do them in *whatever date* so we can be skinny by then!!" hahaha...2 kids later we still neva do em!

Things finally happened after Aljay bought a camera for his artwork. It's not anything fancy. He just bought an inexpensive camera and put a good lens on it.

We didn't even have a tripod but we went and took pics of the kids and a nice fellow saw us and asked if we would like him to take a picture with all of us. The way he approached and asked made it seem like he had experience but oka he went cut part of Aljay's head off. hahahah But we'll take it!

You can see the whole album here

And he's a few other randoms...

My work had an employee appreciation night at UVU's game center. We took the kids and they had a blast.

Tuli girl :)

Practicing with the camera

Prepping for the art exhibit

I know this post is so slap together kine...but I'm trying to catch up with alllllll that has happened and is currently happening...

I'll put a check mark next to May and keep moving along lol
