He has a generous and loving heart. 
He is full of wisdom and knowledge
(but not all get to see that side of him). 
He is funny.
He is super talented.
He is self taught in many things.
He loves his family. 
He is kind. 
He makes us feel safe. 
He is strong (not just physically).
He can cook.
He is a pretty good driver.
He honors his Priesthood. 
He is the best husband and Father.

How we Celebrated His Special Day

We started the day off with an appointment with the chiropractor. obviously my idea and not his hahah I had taken the day off from work and was so tempted to schedule a doctor's check up and a dentist checkup...bbuuuutt I didn't want to reinforce the fact that he's getting older LOL...so I just scheduled a chiropractor alignment for him and called it goods haha.

Afterwards, Aljay had a few things he had to do for some projects, but once he was done with that we all went out for sushi at Sushi Ya.
Side note: We didn't realized that our kids loved sushi too! We knew Leila liked sushi, but then all the kids were cleaning off the platters...even Sefa who is usually my picky eater. Well done kids!  but next time I'm going to be better and get a sitter...cause the kids (minus the oldest and youngest) were kiiiiiiillling us!

Next, we ran a few more errands just before heading to Provo high school's graduation.
p.s. graduations are boring! or maybe I'm just used to Kahuku's graduation where you go to be entertained lol

 On the way home from the graduation (it was bout 9:30pm by that time) we stopped at Sonics for a milkshake and slushees, then picked up a cake and some snacks, and headed home. 

 We lit a candle (or chopstick...forgot to grab candles) and sang happy birthday lol Then thought we would enjoy a nice movie night....but then by this point the kids were ready for bed (ie fussy and irritating) and we were ready for them to go to bed. So the TV ended up watching us. 


The kids also made cards and left them on Aljay's easel. It was so cute. 
If that's not an indication that we're getting old...I don't know what else is. 

It's all goods though! I think the 30s are going to be the best times of our lives! So much will happen in the 3rd decade of our lives! I CAN FEEEEL IT!

Anyways...that's what we did for his birthday. I feel bad because I wish I did more and I know he kind of wanted more too. he won't admit it, but i know it

It's all good. We went out Thursday night by ourselves (because Brit flew inn that day lol) and finally watched Infinity Wars. It was much needed and so nice to be out with him.

Grateful for another year of life added!

Start the year off with two volleyball tournaments for Leila. The picture below is of her and Isa, the only 14-year-olds on their U16 team.  Fires are destroying parts of California, the Palisade area experiencing the worst of it. Texas and some of the southern states are experiencing some of the worst snow/ice conditions. TikTok is on the verge of being banned, President Trump is continuously passing executive orders that are sending people into panic.  Saleima made a list of the disasters and warned us that Jesus was on His way.  Sefa moved up to the Teachers quorum and was ordained by his Dad, Uncle Dennis, and Uncle Ben. He's growing so quickly and I love seeing his growth. They have a great group of young men. Being Prepared For These Times

Auuuu that title sounds like I'm trying to write a General Conference talk or something hahaha. Probably still on the GC vibe from the beginning of the month lol. Anyways... So this pandemic that's going on, it's been something else! It has put the whole world on lock down. So many lives have been affected. I've written quite a bit in my journal, but I wanted to make sure to write about how the Lord has prepared our family specifically for this time. Looking back just in February and March, we can easily see how the Lord had orchestrated parts of our lives.  In February Aljay secured an art collector who commissioned several art pieces. His deposit was the cushion that brought a sense of financial security when we entered this lock-down life.  Towards the end of February, my bosses had heard about school closures in Seattle and decided that we should have a plan in place for our advisers to work remotely in case the schools had to close. 2025 February

Leila - Volleyball and more Volleyball  Leila had two tournaments in February. This club season has challenged her in a good way. She wants to play the outside hitter position but is playing on a 16s team (meaning older girls with more experience) and is sitting in the 3rd spot for out side hitting. To get to the 1 or 2 spot she needs more reps, more practice, and more individual coaching. We're seeing improvements each week, but are planning to set aside money for her to do more 1:1 coaching.  These tournaments are no joke. They are allllll day. 6am - 7pm sometimes. 1-day, 2-day, and sometimes 3-day tourneys. The mental stamina it takes as a parent ahahahahh is a real thing! Trying to say the right things to keep your athlete focused, motivated, and locked in is tough. There are so many things that are over stimulating or compounding: - the non stop sound of whistles and girl's cheering/screaming - the smell of swass in the building that increases as the tournament progresses...
