End of July Happenings
Oh summer...how you come and go so quickly.....here's a recap of the last half of July :)
FRI, July 14- Congrats Ants and Farenei
Went to the reception for Anthony and Farenei Siilata. A ton of Laie people were there. It was fun. Only got this pic because we were busy either talking or tracking down kids.
SUN, July 16- Aloha oe Lafai & Fatu
It was really fun having these two over for 2 weeks. Here's a few pics (working backwards) from when they were here.
MON, July 17- Aloha oe Toa
Oka...Toa was only here for 3 days (for the wedding) and got himself into some troubles lol. I won't write it here but let's just say he earned the nickname Rolly Rolly and got a repeat of Uncle Neta's roundhouse kicks once he got home. Kalofae that guy.
TUES, July 18- Aloha Mom & Dad!
Got a call on Monday that they were going to arrive Tues. Got a text msg at midnight that they were arriving at 7am. Read that message Tuesday morning at 6:45am...Had to make some changes to my work schedule and make a mad rush for the airport.
It was a bit of morning.
But hey the grandparents arrived safely!
SAT, July 22- Splashpad & Fireworks
Took the kids to the splashpad in Bluffdale again. So much fun for the kids. It was nice and relaxing for Aljay and I. We stayed until sunset then headed home. On our way home we saw some mean fireworks all over. We pulled over in Lindon and got to watch some fireworks up close from someone's backyard. The kids loved it!
P.S. We ran into a friend from Hauula 5th Ward- Grace! She is Laie's photographer, always there capturing candid moments at all the events. She was also the main photographer for Ben & Nina's wedding. She took these pics below. So grateful for her always sharing her pictures.
MON, July 24- PIONEER DAY
We spent the morning cleaning house.
Then I ran to the dollar store to pick up two trusty pregnancy tests. Found out I'm pregnant lol.
Aljay was super excited! Me not so much hahahh
If he could carry the baby I only have to deliver the baby, then sure!!! Sign me up!!!!
p.s. I am excited, just not for the nausea and fatigue.
Anyways....we went to the park with some Laie friends and hung out, ate, swam. The kids watched fireworks and popped a few fireworks. It was lovely.
SAT, July 29- AF Canyon With the Family
Aunty Eseta and her husband were here taking their son Jaylyn to SUU. They stayed with Uati when they were up in Utah County and we all got to hang out and BBQ at the canyon! It was so good to see family and hang out. We hadn't seen them since Hawaii.
And that concludes July for the most part...
Other things that I should mention-
Aaannnnnnddd wow just like that I feel like we are getting our last summer kicks in before we head into the fall and winter.

Other things that I should mention-
- Our house is in the process of closing. This means we have to start looking for an apartment to rent. Our official closing date is the 23rd. YAY!
- They finally broke ground on the new house!
- ROOCI wear is continuing to make great progress. I wish someones was keeping a blog about their stuff or keeping a history or something...but I found out last night that Joe just started a Vjog on youtube. So that's promising!
- Poor Lahvjal had a bad accident in Hawaii during their trip in Hawaii. They were supposed to be back at the end of the month. It looks like they will be in Hawaii for a few more weeks as Vjal recovers and does physical therapy. Kalofae that guy. But on the bright side, we've been receiving updates on the daily and he's getting stronger and better each day.
Things to look forward to in Aug-
- A bunch of family birthdays
- Selling our house
- Moving (not so fun)
- Paying of debt! (That will be fun!)
- Actually having money. (Super fun!)
- Start of the recruitment year for me at UVU (will be fun once morning sickness is gone)
- Kids getting back into school!
- Ward Camp
Aaannnnnnddd wow just like that I feel like we are getting our last summer kicks in before we head into the fall and winter.
