Family Plans and Goals
Well hello there 2017!!!We've been waiting for you..
New Year Resolutions
In the past I've posted our resolutions...but the resolutions are still the same or at least similar.... and we know what we need to be doing spiritually, physically, mentally....its a never ending ongoing thing...but there are a few new ones that I'll mention.
We had a FHE about setting goals and we decided to set monthly goals and to keep reviewing them as a Family. The older two kids came up with their own goals...for the babies I just listed milestones.
KEIKI GOALS
Leila
'become a better artist'
Iosefa
'have my brain grow'
Viiga's Milestones
-Potty train (more so a goal for the parents)
-sleep train (get him going to bed around the same time as the older two)
Saleima's Milestones
-talking
GROWN FOLKS GOALS
Sandra
-be better at celebrating holidays, birthdays, anniversary, etc. I need to make more of an effort to make these special occasions more special, even if money is tight and even if a person haaates celebrating their birthday, and even if it is just a homemade birthday sign. I need to just make it a priority and made a big deal out of it cause it makes people feel even more special on birthdays, and makes those around you just a little happier...so why not!?!
Ayyyyy but how bout my diaper cake I made for a co-worker's baby shower at work.Everyone put together money and bought some gifts and little baby things to decorate the "cake". It looked better after we put all the little extras on...but hey I'm proud of myself for not just slapping a bow on the box of diapers and calling it goods. Off to a good start with my new years goal! Next up...Valentines!!! #winning #goaldigger ---->----->
Aljay
-slim down and buff up
-take family photos :) he keeps bringing it up lol I share this goal with him but he's the one who wants to wait till he shaves his beard...ioeee keeeeeeeep waiting lol...nah nah....this is the year! I feel it!
Family Plans for 2016
I'm excited for a new year. 2016 was definitely a year of physical (always), spiritual, and emotional growth. We spent 2016 laying the ground work in many aspects of our lives; exploring and encouraging our children's interests and talents, getting our business closer to an automated system, and sacrificing a comfy paycheck now so that we can reap greater benefits in the future (in other words...living the broke az life). It's been one of many many sacrifices as well as many blessings. We are definitely grateful for the journey we've been on but we're so excited for what will come this year. 2017- we reddeh.

Family Plans for 2016
- Sell our home
- We plan to fix up our home, sell it, pay off all our debt, rent an apartment, and then buy land and build a house
- when? sometime in Spring maybe...who knows
- We want to build because my parents are planning to buy in with us so we can build a house that will accommodate an in-law suite and enough rooms for when the family comes to visit
- it all depends on if we are able to find good land at a good price, with the right contractor, yada yada. so honestly I'm writing this right now, knowing very well that all of this could possibly change. The only thing we know for sure is that we want to sell our house and pay off debt.
- also we want to use some of the equity to accomplish the next item on the list...
- Hawaii for Christmas
- Not just because Christmas but for Brittany's graduation :) but why does it have to cost so much mooonneeeyyy? It might just be Aljay going. It might just be a "Congratulations box: going lol We also have 2018 family reunions to think about and those are going to be in Samoa. How is this all going to work? I dunno.
- Full time position
- I'm hoping to secure a full time position at UVU or heck I'll take University of Utah or BYU if there is an opening...but I would prefer UVU
- If I get a fulltime position then Aljay can go back to school or take courses or I can start looking into my Master's....lots to think about
- I had my eye set on one position that will be opening up in the Multicultural Department, but not having a Master's degree really puts be at a disadvantage...I'm going to try for it...but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for any thing really
- Family Vacation
- We would love to do a fun stay-cation this year in Utah with the kiddos :) Or even Vegas maybe. Camping doesn't count.
25 Hours of Fitness Challenge
woohoo! finally finished it! Cheeeeee!! Took me almost 2 months but I HAD TO SEE IT THROUGH. yaaah me! lol Read more here,
Here's some pics of our January
Snow storms for days. Lots of car accidents. But Snow is a good thing in a desert. The kids love to get out and play in the snow. They also like to shovel our walkways...and I like that they do it :)

FHE activity- painting the house. Well at least that small portion of the wall. That is about as much wall we were willing to do with all the kids lol
