WE'VE LOVED OUR SUMMER!!!!

Wish I had pics of everything, but oh well....here are a few to sum up our 2016 summer

JAYUS FASION SHOW!!!

***okay I cannot forget to mention this!***
Aljay and I couldn't both go because we failed to plan the babysitters. Since he had zero sleep for the past week,  I decided to go after I got the kids to bed...which wasn't until 9:30pm lol. So I messaged Betty and she was down to drive up with me! YAY! We made it in time for the after party but we spent most of our time  practicing our JLo face/hands poses in the dressing room lol. Kalofae Penny and her team were exhausted!!!! Luckily I was able to watch the show from Semi's fb livestream and several other people's social media accounts. Thank you social media! Well done team Jayus!!! And a major high-10 to Penny for pursuing her passion, pushing through the barriers, and taking that leap of faith. It has been soooo exciting to witness her journey and it will continue to be just as exciting as she continues on her path. And to think that it is just the beginning. #Getyodreamsgirl #goaldigger #breakinbarriers #fashionista #ineedtostop #idontknowwhyievenstartedwiththehastags #jayus #yaaayus #okimdone

OK but the highlight to our summer
and
icing on the cake has to be the surprise news that these two wonderful people...

have been called to serve in the
Vanuatu Port Vila Mission in the Solomon Islands
 for 2 years!!!
Best news everrr!!!

They video chatted us a few weeks ago and while we were talking we see Chu come into view and at first we thought Chu and Sui were in Samoa (and of course that is the story they decided to run with lol) until Dad explained that they were getting their visas done for their mission.

SOOOOEEERRR AWESOME!!
Elder and Sister Fuimaono

LOVE THEM!!!  I'm grateful for their shining example of faith, service, and devotion to building God's kingdom no matter the bumps along the road!!! It made me even more excited for when Aljay and I will be able to go on a mission.

And we love these faces too for setting up the photo shoot and sharing all the happiness with the rest of us!!

There are too many good ones to choose from!

Aaahhh what a great summer! Honestly these are the moments that make our lives so joyful!! I cannot sugar coat it and say that everything has just been sooooooerrr awesome, because we have had (and still have) our trials and struggles. #thestruggleissurreal
This past year has seriously been a tough one. We've been broke before, but being broke and not knowing when or how your going to pay for living expenses is something else....especially with little kids depending on us.
My patience, faith, and mental toughness has been tried and tested over and over again (and I doubt the trials will end anytime soon but that is just life right?).
There have been several times where I couldn't help but feel down and unmotivated...sometimes even impatient with the Lord. tsk tsk. Luckily I have the best companion who I can lean on. He shares the burden, honors his Priesthood, and stays positive through it all.
Together we've chosen to focus on the positive, stay true to our covenants, find the joy in the struggle, and be grateful for the trials. And through it all the Lord has extended his tender mercies. Time an time again He has blessed us with exactly what we needed and reminded us that He is right there with us. With Him on our side we know we can face anything. Have faith and courage- God never fails us. We'll do our best not to fail Him.

Just some thoughts to wrap up our summer as we head into another school year, a new job,  and a new season.

We reddehh!
