Keiki Updates

I was looking at old pics from a year ago and I couldn't believe how much the kids have changed. 

Here's Sefa and Leila from last November-



Now look at them...
I think I say this all the time but forreals though the kids are growing up soooo fast. A Keiki update is much needed.

First up....

 Viiga boy!


 Age: 6 1/2 months (makes 7 months Dec 7th) boy did that go by fast

 Developments: 
-Mobility! 
-He sits up on his own.
-Rolls around on the floor.
-Crawls!
-has hit pony tail status...with the middle region of his head
-says "Dah dah dah dah dah" all day with occasional squeals
-eats mashed up food

Bomb Qualities:
-making everyone happy  so easy when your a cute little person
-going to sleep easily at night and staying asleep all night
-eating his veggies only kid that does

Loves to:
-watch his siblings play
-talk to people
-crawl around and grab things
-take baths
-eat eat eat

Life Dreams/Goals/Aspirations/Ambitions:
-walk
-talk
-grow teeth
-eat everything everyone else gets to eat without having to mash it up

Sefa Dawg


Age:  3

Shining Qualities/habits:
-being friendly to everyone
-being able to make us laugh makes it hard for us parents when we're trying to discipline him
-loves his baby brother 
-the protector he always shows concern for his siblings safety and well-being
-he loves reading books

Areas needing improvement:
-LISTENING to Mom and Dad
-putting his shorts/undies back on after using the toilet
-eating he eats...but he's picky...which doesn't fly in our house
-talking clearly "mennnnn da bonn dor by dwaiiiii" translation- "Mend the bond torn by pride" (his one liner her memorized from Disney's Brave)

Loves:
-animals
-playing with his siblings
-taking showers
-jumping on everyone and everything from any height
-dancing
-bedtime stories jack and the beanstalk is his current fave


Leila Girl


 Age: 4

 Loves:
-drawing
-taking selfies
-playing with makeup/nail polish
-watching youtube tutorials Charlies Crafty Kitchen, Frozen makeup tutorials, surprise eggs/playdough (don't know why people make these videos or why kids love it so much)
- taking care of her siblings
-making mock videos of her creating things
-anything pink
-singing in the shower

Awesome qualities:
-being the caretaker she takes good care of her younger brothers
-being helpful she's my best helper and will definitely become second Mom and my right hand man
-eating what we make for her or at least giving it a try

 Is working on:
-writing her alphabet letters
-self-discipline not touching eevvverryythhinnggg when we go grocery shopping

 As for the big kids...aka...Mom and Dad...aka...Me and Aljay....

We're loving the journey with our little minions. 
We can't imagine what it would be like with more, 
but we're thrilled to find out some day 
(not any time soon lol)
Three kids isn't easy.
There are days where I just want to go to bed 
and not clean the house.
There are days I don't feel appreciated
and just want to lay in bed 
and let everyone fend for themselves.
(except Viiga of course)
There are days I feel like I'm yelling at my kids all day
(and I probably am)
But all it takes is a hug,
a kiss,
an "I'm sorry Mommy",
(and sometimes 'I'm sorry Kids')
some laughter,
and something delicious to eat...
then all the bad things are forgotten.
Raising kids isn't easy.
But it's worth it.
We make mistakes but
we keep trying our best.
Lucky for us,
everyday life gives us a second chance,
it's called tomorrow. 
Yay for tomorrow!
And now for some random pics I end up finding on my phone, the camera, and the tablet.

Being Prepared For These Times

Auuuu that title sounds like I'm trying to write a General Conference talk or something hahaha. Probably still on the GC vibe from the beginning of the month lol. Anyways... So this pandemic that's going on, it's been something else! It has put the whole world on lock down. So many lives have been affected. I've written quite a bit in my journal, but I wanted to make sure to write about how the Lord has prepared our family specifically for this time. 2025 February

Leila - Volleyball and more Volleyball  Leila had two tournaments in February. This club season has challenged her in a good way. She wants to play the outside hitter position but is playing on a 16s team (meaning older girls with more experience) and is sitting in the 3rd spot for out side hitting. To get to the 1 or 2 spot she needs more reps, more practice, and more individual coaching. We're seeing improvements each week, but are planning to set aside money for her to do more 1:1 coaching.  These tournaments are no joke. They are allllll day. 6am - 7pm sometimes. 1-day, 2-day, and sometimes 3-day tourneys. The mental stamina it takes as a parent ahahahahh is a real thing! Trying to say the right things to keep your athlete focused, motivated, and locked in is tough. There are so many things that are over stimulating or compounding: - the non stop sound of whistles and girl's cheering/screaming - the smell of swass in the building that increases as the tournament progresses...

2025 January

Start the year off with two volleyball tournaments for Leila. The picture below is of her and Isa, the only 14-year-olds on their U16 team.  Fires are destroying parts of California, the Palisade area experiencing the worst of it. Texas and some of the southern states are experiencing some of the worst snow/ice conditions. TikTok is on the verge of being banned, President Trump is continuously passing executive orders that are sending people into panic.  Saleima made a list of the disasters and warned us that Jesus was on His way.  Sefa moved up to the Teachers quorum and was ordained by his Dad, Uncle Dennis, and Uncle Ben. He's growing so quickly and I love seeing his growth. They have a great group of young men. I love that they are old enough to plan activities, including attending the temple to do Baptism.  Sefa's also starting U15 7v7 pylons with coach Matt Manuma.
