Autumn Awesomeness

Oct 4-5 - GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!!
I lalala-love General Conference time! It's when we get to hear from our Prophet and church leaders and be uplifted, and our spirits renewed, and our questions answered, and our souls re-energized and aaagghhh I just love it. There is always something in every talk that touches my heart or gives me something to ponder.
It always takes me the entire month to fully listen and reflect on the messages (I usually get distracted with kids or fall asleep....this is time it was both). But when I do take the time to listen or watch the talks with Aljay (like while we are cleaning after the kids go to bed) the Spirit always testifies of the truths that we are meant to hear and feel.
Oct 14- BL#27 Bridal Veil Falls
Enjoyed the awesome autumn colors up in the canyon.
It was beautiful.
Don't know how long we'll be in Utah so might as well soak it all in while we can. (Wow I can't tell you how much of an attitude change I've had since this time last year)
Oct 20- Happy Birthday Elder Fa'amuli!!
My brother turned 21. What an old guy. I couldn't be prouder of him for the spiritual growth and maturity that has been evident over the past year. Serving a mission has brought him true joy and happiness, not to mention the blessing of confidence, a burning testimony, and a fearlessness that exudes in every letter I read from him. He is such a great example to our family. Love my baby brother!
He sent some pics recently and made sure to show us how well he's been keeping his quarters clean. Good story. LOL He probably took a pic because it was actually clean. Jusssstt kidding. #ineverdoubt

OCT 22- HeeHaw Farms

Aljay and I had some intense tether ball and bean bag toss competitions that lasted just long enough for us to have fun but still stay married (#poorsports #competitivepartners #iwon). We ended the evening by picking a few pumpkins and riding on a hayride. Thank goodness it wasn't as cold as last year.
OCT 23- Art Competition
For the first time ever, Aljay submitted his artwork in a competition. It was free to submit it so we thought, why not? Besides, if he wins a prize then awesome!!! If not, then we'll file this in the "good experience" folder of our lives. Either way what do we have to lose?
He submitted two pieces. Both are acrylic on wood.

OCT 25-Margaret Filioa Funeral
My Dad flew in Thursday afternoon and stayed with us. The following night him and his brothers Uncle Al and Uncle Leroy stayed with us. It was so nice to see them and have them meet my little family. We all agreed that it was time for a Fa'amuli Reunion.
OCT 25- 09 So Fine Trunk or Treat
We made it back in time to catch the last half hour of our Ward Trunk or Treat. Although we were late, we still got to enjoy good food, good company, fun games, and of course CANDY. I was by myself with the three kids and didn't get any pics of the kids, but Leila took some of her angel/butterfly/fairy wings! #samecostumeeveryyear
OCT 26- Grandma Lupe's Birthday
and Leila's first Primary Program
OCT 29-
Found out Aljay's art pieces were not selected for the exhibit. All goods though! It was cool to see him actually put his artwork out there. Was it his best work? No. And he knew it. It was rushed.
On the plus side, we now finally have artwork hanging on our walls! Leila was like "wow we have artwork on our walls! We should take a picture!" lol
OCT 31- Happy Halloween!
Had a good Halloween!
Aljay got off early from work. And yes he did go to work wearing a zebra onsie that belongs to Brittany. He put a black shirt over it though cause his buttons were....well just look at the picture. Love this guy. Look at Sefa trying to figure out where the heck Daddy's tail came from lol.
Our Halloween evening consisted of Aljay and Lahvjal bbqing hamburgers, carving pumpkins, and handing out candy while I got the kiddos ready and took them trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. And it wasn't cold like last year! YAY!
Leila was a fairy thing that only cared about wearing makeup and getting her hair did.
Sefa didn't care to dress up. He just wanted to run around in the front yard and eat candy.
Viiga was a skeleton who fell asleep and kept Dad company while the other two got candy.
As for me....I spent too much time trying to find those dang fairy wings (that ended up being at the bottom of the kids toy box...so irrits)so I'll have to wait for next year to get all Halloweenified.
The month of October is the beginning of all the holidays that will be coming up in the next three months-
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years! Woohoo!
We got off to a great October start by checking off one of the things on our family bucket list...
It was awesome blossom!
Oct 7- Happy Birthday Seester Milla!
My oldest sister Milla turned 33! Old Lady! Thanks for letting me steal this Candace :)

This was a lot of fun.
I don't know who had more fun- the kids or the adults.
