FEB 2026

Just to recap our January....
  • Sefa started morning practices with the football team and track training after school
  • Leila started club volleyball
  • Saleima started Junior Jazz Basketball
  • We need to find something for Viiga
  • Metuli is getting signed up for Rugby
  • Salani might do soccer or rugby

1/31 - Metuli's Baptism

We ended January on a high! Metuli’s baptism with her cousin Ellie was beautiful. Aljay gave her a heartfelt blessing, Brittany did an amazing job with her spotlight, and I managed to keep the Holy Ghost talk under 5 minutes 😂.

After the baptism, we went to the temple to take some photos.

Then we headed home to change and get ready for Saleima’s basketball game. Ary and her family, along with Lahvjal and Penny, were all with us—definitely a big family day. After the game, we stopped by Macy’s for their King Kong ice cream. Their soft-serve cones are inexpensive and humongous, which makes them perfect for a large group.

Then it was back to basketball for Saleima, this time for a shoot-out competition. The winner moves on to a second stage and then to a Jazz game if they win again. I signed her up just for fun, but it was exciting to watch.

After basketball, we all went home for a little rest before heading our separate ways. Aunty Penny and Uncle Lahvjal took the tiny winners and Penny girl for a sleepover. They ate Chick-fil-A, played arcade games at Fat Cats, and came home the next day.

Leila and Sefa took a looooong nap.

Brit, Viiga, Aljay, and I went to the gym for a solid workout, then headed to the Aliitasi Recital show to check out vendors (hi meat pies, somen salad, and Tahitian jewelry 😂) and say hi to all our Primary kids who were performing.

By the end of the night, my heart was so full of joy and gratitude. It really was a great day.

2/7 - Volleyball Tourney

Leila played her first tourney with her club team. She played backrow setter and outside hitter. She stayed in the game the entire match and just did a full rotation throughout.

She did great! Last year she played up (U16), this year she's playing slightly below (U15), and next year we'll get her in U17 hahaha. All out of order, but at least she's getting her reps in.

2/10 - Baptisms W/ the Older Kids

This was Viiga's first time doing baptisms. He was nervous at the youth baptisms and only did confirmations. This was the first time he did baptisms AND confirmations. This was also Aljay's first time doing baptisms for the dead and baptising his own kids.

I was on my ma'i and only did confirmations, but I loved seeing our three kids sitting on the bench together in the temple. We went out to eat afterwards. It was a beautiful evening.

2/14 - Valentines Day
We had zero sports that day which meant --- sleeping in!!! Woohoo!! In the afternoon, we took the older kids out to the park for some basketball, then grabbed some pizzas so the kids could have movie night while Aljay and I took Mom and Dad out for valentines dinner.

It was their first time at Cheesecake Factory. They enjoyed the evening and food and had no room for dessert lol

2/15 - New Calling

We had ward conference and our bishopric was released. Our newly called bishopric is Bishop Daniel Perez, 1st Counselor Aljay Fuimaono, and 2nd Counselor Ronie Davis. It was a busy Sunday full of all the feels.

2/19 - Wolf Pack surprise lol

Silalelei and Siona were in Hawaii for their cousin's wedding on Aunty Penina's side. Jerica, Tala (and her girls), Rachel & Michael (and their kids), Aunty Penina, and Achilles & Ane (and their two babies) all came up too.

They arrived on Thursday and stopped by our house in the afternoon and fully surprised Leila and Sefa. They had to leave that night but made it back Saturday night around 11pm lol.....and then picked up at 3am to make their 8am flight ahahahahah Oh the non-rev life.

These kids are so lucky they have the best Aunties who support the Wolf Pack reunion haha

Also-- We finally got some snow and rain. We're in a desert so any type of precipitation is welcome!
