July 2 - 7th
I took time off from work to just enjoy summer with the kids. This week was also a moratorium for the high school sports (no scheduled athletic practices).
July 2 - Took the kids to watch Jurassic Rebirth. Movie was alright but more fun to watch with the little kids.
July 3 - We did our shopping for 4th of July foods. Aunty Penny and Uncle Vjal came over and took the kids to the park
July 4th - We borrowed paddleboards and kid kayaks and headed to Manila Creek Pond. Kids had so much fun.
Then we came home, bbq'd, and did some fireworks. Kila and Ary and their boys joined us. It was a good time for sure! Even Teki showed up later that night.
July 5th - Recovered lol
July 6th - Church, came home and had lunch, then watch the film Tina. I sure did cry many times throughout that movie. Such a great story.
July 7th -
Woke up around 6:30am and went for a walk. Came home, scrolled on my phone, then enjoyed breakfast by Aljay and Lani. Then took a really good nap lol. I woke up around 1pm, took care of some medical bills, then went to the gym for a strength training session with my trainer (Aljay). We went to our clubhouse gym so the teen kids could work out too while the littles swam in the pool. I like this clubhouse because we can workout and have a full view of the pool to keep an eye on the kids.
I ended my workout with a refreshing dip in the pool. Then it was dinner at Olive Garden with Aunty Penny, Uncle Vjal, Brittany, Tui, and all the children. Came home and sang happy birthday with some dairy queen sundaes lol Theeeen we started dreaming up our next Disney trip ahhahahahahah
July 8th - Jorja headed home
I don't even know how long Jorja was with us, but we sure did enjoy having her stay with us.
Padded Camp
July 8-12 was officially padded camp for Timpview Football. This consists of two-a-day practices in pads. These were gruelling days for Sefa, but they do this so the boys get acclimated in playing in pads in the current temperatures.
Iutana came over and stayed with us a day or two while his family went to Cali for Cheyenne's temple sealing and wedding reception.
I'm excited that Tana and Sefa will be playing together at Timpview!
Picture below - I dropped off Tana at the airport. He went to football and then caught the earliest flight he could to Cali.
Padded camp was followed by 3 days of scrimmages. On the first day, Sefa played on Sophomore and JV team. On the second day, he played Sophomore, JV, and got to run in a play with Varsity. He was stoooooked! Aljay and I were beaming with pride. It was so exciting to see Sefa and Tana play together.

I got a quick pic of him just after the game. So proud of this kid! *Also, get your kid cleats that are an easy color to spot on the field. Makes it 100X easier to spot him on the field. Teal cleats for the win!

Last Week of July
Leila
- tried out for Timpview Volleyball and made the varsity team. Since she is a transfer student, she will have to play JV for half the season, then she can play varsity for the rest of the season.
Sefa
- made the JV team but has been getting reps in with the varsity team. He's the only 9th grade running back who has been getting reps with the varsity. His strength training with Aljay has been paying off in the weight room and on the field.
Viiga
- He is playing on the 6th-grade team for Mountain View Youth football. Aljay is one of the coaches.
- He is going to get a check up for asthma. He had one last year and we totally just forgot to follow up and pick up his inhaler (parenting fail). So he's going for another check up and prescription before the season officially starts.
Saleima - Metuli - Salani
These three amigos are just chillin! Enjoying their time before school starts. With all our schedules pulling us all over, I'm not planning to put them into any sports until Winter.
