May Madness

There's always so much happening in May! I'm finally getting caught up....

May 7th - Viiga's 8th Birthday *See separate post for that

May 8th - Mother's Day

Friday- Our ward did a Mother's Day dinner, which is always well done, and so yum!! Thank you, EQ.

Saturday - Britt treated Penny and me to pedicures lol I got us matching pearl necklaces that were too small for our necks, hahaha but, we made the most out of it, and I still crack up every time I look at the chain. Penny got us some earrings and skincare. I love my sister-coparents!!!

Sunday- We got more treats at church and got to rest from our callings while the Elders took over for us. Love this; we should do this more often, lol. Came home and had a yummy meal and then watched the Tafiti family reunion videos. Crack up!!!

May 14th - Sports, Aulia's Rugby Final, Abundance Art Exhibit

This was a long day but soooo fun!!! We had kid sports in the morning. Then we went and watched Aulia's rugby championship game. It was soooo fun! Leila was hooked! She asked all throughout the game to explain the rules. Aljay was hyped up too and now wants to coach Leila's team lol

After the game, we drove the kids home and then quickly got ready to go to an art exhibit that we participated in. It was an art exhibit for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) month. Aljay was the only PI artist so that was kind of a bummer, but it was mostly expressionist artist. Luckily we had to drop off a painting for our friend Bernice Ovah, so we jammed out of the art show.

May 21st - Aljay's Birthday

We had another full day of sports. The kids all had games in the morning so we were all spread out at different locations. When we got home, everyone either crashed or lounged around relaxing. When we woke up, we went and grabbed some food and hung out by the fireplace in the back yard. It was such a nice evening to celebrate Aljay's 37th birthday.

 End of Spring Sports

In a nutshell....

Leila tried volleyball for the first time. Their team came in first for the Bronze division. She was like, "wait we're the best of the worst!!??" LOL Only upwards to go! haha

Sefa & Saleima stuck with soccer. They love soccer and both of them killed it!

Viiga tried flag football and got to be on the team with his cousins Hendrix and Maikeli. He had so much fun and reckons he's ready for tackle football lol. I'm just not ready for the cost haha.

Metuli did soccer. It's not her sport lol Just isn't and that's ok. We'll try baseball or wrestling.

We had the most amazing support from Co-parents Aunty Brittany and Aunty Penny, Uncle Lahvjal, and Laniboo.

End of School Year Shenanigans

Leila and her friends performed in their school talent show. I'm just proud that she actually went and did it! I need to upload the video to Youtube so I can post it here.

Saleima graduated from Kindergarten.

Leila graduated from 6th grade.

Sefa had an award ceremony and won the Active Athlete Award (Grab photos from Aljay

Aljay participated in the Parents VS 6th Grade kick ball game! lol  Never again because how come he somehow contracted a skin infection and ended up with cellulitis a few days later. Man was barely able to walk and was on bedrest for about a week and limping around. okaaaa!

And now it's summer is and we are fully enjoying our evenings in the backyard just kicking back, playing volleyball, sleeping on the trampoline, and eating lots of smores by the fire.
