Keiki Update

It has been a while since I've done one of these and boy have the kids grown.  Let's start with Leila... My oh my is this child coming of age.  She shaved her legs. Even though Me and Britt tried to warn her that it's going to be a reoccurring event and not a shave once and done type of thing...fiapotz.  She has been asking for a phone because she's the only one that doesn't have one in her class. I'm looking to get a Gabb watch so they can contact us if anything happens while they are at school. I'm not sure about a phone yet.  Her feet are bigger than mine and she often steels Britt's shoes.  She swears she wants to work and save money but she is asking for Swig/ice cream almost every day.  She also swears she is a good driver and asks to drive every chance she can. But ummmm Aljay takes her driving and she even drove to her friend's house down the street. What the heck!!!!  She has a few friends from school that she likes to hang out with. She...

SEPTEMBER Happenings

Labor Day Weekend - Labor day weekend in Utah county is when we have Polynesian Days. It's a three day event-- Friday, Saturday, and Monday. We have gone every year since it started a few years ago. This year PCC alumni got together to do a show dedicated to the late Aunty Dofi. We didn't dance but Aljay drummed and I stayed with the kids. It was exhausting but it's always good to run into long lost friends and family. On the night that PCC performed, it was so nostalgic and wonderful to hear familiar songs/music and that classic PCC drumming. Took us back to the good old college/Laie/PCC/dancing days! Also, Kyrie Ilaoa was baptized and her baby sister, Ta'i, were blessed on the same day. Me and Leila and Saleima attended  before heading to the Poly Days.  September 11 Stake Service Project - In remembrance of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, our Stake decided to do a day of service. The wards partnered up and took on different service projects throughout Utah county. We help...

AUGUST - Back to School Month!

Woohoo! August you blessed month. Kids are going back to school, we're getting into some kind of routine, and the weather is cooling down. Here's some of our highlights Aunty Nina and Uncle Ben were able to visit They came up for a funeral and then stayed a few days after the services. It was so nice to have them over, especially for the kids! Aljay Made it Home Aljay made it home the day after Ben and Nina left. His 2 week work-cation trip to Maui was successful. He went to paint Aaron's new location, but ended up picking up another gig while he was there. He also picked up a random commission for a lady who wanted a painting of her cat who died of cancer. lol While he was there he was gifted a set of fire knives, which got the kids really excited to start spinning again. That was pretty generous considering the cost of fire knives. While on his trip, Aljay called and we talked about the possibility of doing a 2 month stint in Hawaii lol He was really enjoying Maui, if yo...
