April Happenings | 1st half
April 1 - Primary Easter Egg Hunt
My phone was dead so no pics, but I'm really grateful for the Primary Presidency and their love for the Primary kids. They always do such a great job planning these activities. It was so good to see the kids laughing, playing, and catching up with each other.
April 3 - 4 General Conference
Honestly, we (Aljay and I) missed practically all of it. The Friday night before the first session Baby caught a stomach bug and started throwing up at 2am and I stayed up until 6am to help catch whatever she was trying to throw up. Then I was back up again at 8am with the waking up kids. Needless to say, we were hanging the next two days. So we'll have a lot to catch up on it.
April 5 - 9 Spring Break for the Kids!
Day 1 - trampoline set up (kids) and firepit build (Aljay)
Day 2 - Firepit complete, Smore time! The big kids (3 older ones) wanted to sleep outside on the trampoline. It's still Spring and it's still cold especially at night. Between the cold weather and them psyching/scaring themselves out, they didn't last and came back in around midnight lol.
We were cracking up watching them from the warmth and comfort of our room. lol
Day 3 - The 3 older kids were determined to sleep outside and actually made it! ahahha They didn't get very much sleep though hahaha. They said they kept waking up and checking their surroundings lol. I made Aljay go get them at 6:30am because the sprinklers go on at 7am and that water is freezing! They came in and had a proper sleep.
Day 4 - Landscaping the sides of the house. It was a family (+ a few neighborhood kids lol) ordeal. We had the lava rocks delivered and had to fill in all the sides and back parts of the house. It was a long day of work, ending in a well deserved swim and dinner at Chilis.
Day 5 - Took the kids to the Living Planet Aquarium and then came home and watched movies.
It was an awesome Spring break with our kids home. We originally wanted to take them on a staycation but we also really wanted to get our outside home projects done. It was nice to do both work and play.
Once spring break is done, kids will be to school and we'll be fully swinging into soccer season!
Woohoo!!
