OCTOBER 2020 | 2nd Half

Oct 15 - 19 | Fall Break

We picnicked in the canyon. Saleima got a good burn on her head from Viigas burnt marshmallow πŸ˜–πŸ˜… but other than that, we all had a great time. It was so beautiful! I wish I was a real photographer to capture all the autumn beauty!

They ride their bikes so hard and often get flat tires. They'd been bugging us about their flat tires and so we finally fixed up all their bikes lol. So per usual, the kids spent a lot of time outside playing, going to the park, and going on bike rides. *Below pics are courtesy of Aunty Brit who always seems to get persuaded to take the kids to McDees or Swig (soda shop).

We also had cousin time :) Rachel brought tie-dye stuff and shirts for all the kids.

Sidenote>>Look at us being crafting Moms!!! since when!??! hahahah That's what happens when we both get laid off LOL. We start doing all the things we wish we could've been doing before lol

Went to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins, then came home to have tacos and make mini graveyard treats (aka worms in dirt).

Oct 24 | Team Hawaii Arrives

Oct 26 | Grandma Lupe's Birthday

We had a seafood themed spread with steamed fish, shoyu poke, sushi bake, and imitation crab salad. Was so yum!!! And Britt outdid herself with Mom's fancy az cake! The Tavanas also brought flowers and cake for Mom.

Oct 27 | Pumpkin Patch
Major thanks to Aunty Penny who got us in ❤❤❤
And thanks to Ben for all the nice pics lol.

Oct 31 | Halloween

Started the day with the trunk or treat in West Valley....Aljay, Ben, and the kids went to the annual Trunk or Treat for Royal Outreach. We've donated prizes every year since they've started and this year was no exception.

After they returned from there, we...
  1. Decorated the garage
  2. carved pumpkins and
  3. handed out candy to the trick or treaters
Major thanks to Uncle Tui who provided all the candy for our trick-or-treaters, bought a smoke machine, and provided our spider webbing which we used to decorate the garage.

I didn't get any pictures since I was multitasking the whole night, but here's what I stole from Brit and Ben's IG lol And just so you know...Ben didn't dress up like this the whole day, although it would have been so fun if he did hahah

Oh and the pandemic?
The day before Halloween we got a State wide text from the government telling us that the transmission rate for the virus is at it's highest and that hospital ICUs are at 70% capacity and to limit our social gatherings to 10. Some heeded the warning, many (like us) still continued with our Halloween festivities. The kids trick-or-treated and honestly....it was so good to see kids being kids. What a year!!!
