Happy 6th Birthday Viiga!

Happy 6th Birthday

Viiga Taagaomanusisina Fuimaono

Our guy turned 6 and we're so happy to celebrate him! A few things about Viiga--
  • he's currently obsessed with watching those youtube videos where you are watching a  person who  is playing video games. I don't like it so we limit him... a lot. But he is always asking to watch either on my phone or on the Amazon Echo thing. Sometimes we gotta hide it. Fa Alexa lol
  • He wants a dirt bike...I looked up the price....we'll go ahead and just put that on his wishlist.
  • He's an excellent reader and is getting better each day.
  • He enjoys playing outdoors, especially riding his bike
  • He makes friends so easily
  • He is so random but it keeps us on our toes
  • We've been taking him to the field with Sefa and Leila to do football drills, but he'd rather ride his bike lol. He's not that interested now, but he definitely has potential!
  • He is still a big crybaby sometimes lol, but we're working through that...oh and his temper tantrums lol
  • He's so smart, but sometimes a bit fiapotz
  • One of my favorite thing about him is how goofy he is...especially his laugh
  • No matter how much his best frenemy (Saleima) fights him, he doesn't hit her back.
  • He has a soft spot for his baby sister Salani and loves to take care of her.
  • He can be sensitive and caring.
  • When it comes to shower time, he takes forrreevveerrrr! Forever to get in the house, forever to get in the shower, forever to shower, forever to change and hang up his towel.....annoying.
  • No matter how much he pushes our buttons, he is ours and we wouldn't trade him for anything.

Celebrating his Birthday

He started the day with some presents (thank you dollar tree) and his birthday breakfast (chocolate chip pancakes and bacon). We then had family prayer and then worked on the deck in the back yard. Aljay pretty much did all the work with setting up the base and frames. The rest of us jumped in once the planks were ready to be laid on top and we could use the nail gun. Leila and Sefa took turns with the nail gun, while Viiga preferred sticking to the power screw driver. He was a happy lil chap.

After we finished the deck, we got ready and took all the kids for a picnic at park. It was chilly and windy, but the kids didn't seem to mind. We used a pavilion right next to the volleyball sand pit so they were thrilled to play in the sand. The rest of the adults (and baby) tried to stay warm and took care of the food. After the sunset we went home, showered & cleaned up, and then sang happy birthday :).

It was a fun day for a fun kid who can have a blast just catching bugs and riding his bike.

The kids put together this lovely semi-homemade cake for him lol.
Lucky for us, Viiga is so easy to please.
