- Disneyland closed yesterday and will be closed for a month.
- Schools are on a soft closure for two weeks. Soft closure means the faculty and staff can still work from school but students are not going to school. Teachers are prepping for online teaching.
- The Church has temporarily cancelled all sacrament meetings. Families are now to have home based church.
And through it all, I've felt nothing but gratitude and comfort. Well...I lie. I did have a slight moment of panic when I started to worry about all the elderly people and new Moms in our ward. That slowly dissolved as our Relief Society presidency divided and conquered. Our ward council also worked quickly to disseminate information we received from the stake and to check on all the widows and families in the ward without a Priesthood holder. Once that was all sorted, I was finally able to feel calm.
There was a reoccuring thought in my mind-- the Lord prepares his people and those who #HearHim do not fear. The more I repeated that in my head, the more my fears were replaced with faith, and the lower my anxiety levels fell. We are definitely seeing signs of the times. Now I'm not saying that the second coming is going to happen this year! (unless....👀 nah nah lol I mean no one knows!) I'm just saying, some of the things we've read in the scriptures are coming to pass and it feels good to know that we are on the Lord's side.
Anyways...on to the topic of this post....

Today was the first time we had church at home and it was a beautiful experience.
Aljay conducted and blessed the sacrament for us. Tui said our opening prayer and passed the sacrament. Viiga was our musical conductor. Leila and Saleima shared their testimonies. Iosefa gave our closing prayer.
We then got our scriptures and did our Come Follow Me lesson. Penny, Lahvjal, and Brittany came over during this time and we all were able to have lunch together.
What an awesome experience it was!
The Spirit was there in full abundance. My heart was so full of gratitude for
ONE..being able to have a priesthood holder in our home to bless and administer the sacrament. The kids and I have never seen him bless the sacrament so this was such a cool experience for us.
TWO...knowing that the Lord provided a way to prepare us for these time and
THREE...the fact that we have a living Prophet today who leads and guides us through these trying times.
