CHRISSSTTMMAASSSSS TIME

It's the best time of the year!!!

And for the first time ever we've been on top of things!
Thanks to the kids really hehe

First, we got our tree set up and decorated the kids stockings.

Aljay was winning with his $12 pre-lit 12ft Christmas tree that he found at the DI. Bless you Deseret Industries!

Second, we got our family pixies organized and went shopping for our pixies.

This is one of our favorite things to do because the kids get all thoughtful about what they want to give their pixie and everyone has a set limit (the $ amount changes year to year, but it's typically been $5-$20). But seeing the kids try to be sneaky when they pick out their gifts is so fun. And everyone gets one gift and calls it good! lol

Third, we made cookies and took them to our neighbors. (no pics)

aaaannnddd all of this done before December 3rd. #winning

I'm glad we did most of the seasonal stuff early because after December 3rd, everything went down hill. Jk...not that bad...but the kids got sick,  I was finishing things up at work, Aljay was super busy with orders and painting (gotta do a separate post for that)...and then of course Christmas parties.

Dec 7 | Ward Christmas Party

The entertainment for our ward Christmas party was a talent show. I signed up Aljay...you know...cause I felt like we should support lol. He agreed to do a sketching while I do a hula. It was his first time doing speed painting/sketching. He was kind of nervous but he's always trying to improve and challenge himself. I was proud of both of us- Aljay for accepting and taking on the task, and me for getting my retired muli up to dance.

The theme for the Christmas party was 'A Night in Bethlehem' so we all had to dress up. The food was setup like a marketplace and the primary had Bishop handout the primary presents instead of Santa. I know...a Christmas party without a Santa!!! My favorite is part is that no one seemed to care that Santa wasn't there.

Dec 15 | Aliitasi Christmas Party

This was another fun night for our Aliitasi family. The kids had so much fun dancing, playing games, exchanging gifts, and eating lots of yummy food. And I have no pictures from the night except a pic of Sally Girl expressing how we all were feeling.

Dec 17 | PCC Night Show Friends' Christmas Party

Super fun night of catching up, eating good food, and white elephant! So. fun. Always a good time catching up with everyone. Not everyone was able to make it, but there are always more parties or picnics in the future!

and finally....

Dec 25 | Our Family Christmas Gathering

We started Christmas Eve with a Christmas movie and treats. Then we sent the kids to bed by 8:30 so could finish up on their gifts and drop off a gift to our friends, the Manumas. Penny and Vjal came over to hang out as well. It was so nice to catch up with them over some yummy food. They also helped us set up the house and the kid's bikes (which we found hella cheap at the DI...DI be coming in cluuutch). Aljay just cleaned up the bikes real well, replaced the handles and seat, and repaired the tires. The bikes looked brand new!

Christmas morning started off with prayer, then gifts, and then breakfast. Lahvjal and Penny were with us as well and spoiled us AGAIN! I swear every year they spoil us and Aljay and I are always like "we're going to spoil the heck out of them next year" and then fail. Earlier in the week they took us all out to watch Aquaman and then brought all the presents on Christmas day. But we didn't fully fail, we just didn't have their art piece ready in time. We still felt stupid not being able to give them anything on Christmas day lol.

We watched the 10:20pm showing and this hammah was the only one out of all the kids who didn't fall asleep during the movie. He's a big fan of "Unko Man" (Aqua Man).

After spending all morning with Penny and Vjal, they had to head out to the airport and catch a flight to North Carolina. In the afternoon we had food, gift exchange, and games with our Afele side of the family. It was such a fun evening. I wish I had more pics to post, but you know how it goes when you're hosting lol.

It was a beautiful Christmas season.

And just like that Christmas is over.

Now it's time to get ready to go back to work (for me),
back to school (for the kids),
back to art (Aljay),
*but really he hasn't had a real break all December*
and back to reality.

But first, we celebrate with New years!!!
