Keiki Update
We have 4 kids.
Like woah. We officially have a tribe.
What's it like with 4 kids?
It's been almost two months as a family of 6.....and well....I've been told before that it get's easier after 3 kids. I'm still waiting to see if that is true or not lol.
Our house is messy 90% of the time, our trash bins fill up within 5 minutes of putting in a new trash bag, we are forever missing socks/shoes/beanies/gloves/etc, we always have laundry waiting to be done, there is hardly ever a quiet moment (and if there is...we start to worry), we now take an hour and a half to get everyone dressed to leave the house, and then 30 minutes to actually leave the house...
BUT...despite the sleepless nights, constant trials of patience, and non stop commotion....we wouldn't have it any other way. We love our family and our four blessings that are truly a manifestation of God's love. It's not easy, but they make it worth it. Here's the latest on our four young-ins.
- LOVE THIS KID!!!
- she's starting to read...I mean she IS reading!! and it's tripping us out :)
- she is now a participating reader during our Family scripture reading. This has been making our nightly lotu time even more exciting for her and for us parents.
- She practices her cartwheel/handstand (its half cartwheel and half handstand) every day.
- Her teacher, Mrs. Wise, is her idol. Everything is "but my teacher said…" and "I want to make a book for my teacher" or "I miss my teacher" or "I can't wait to see teacher!" yeah we get it. You love your teacher. Irrits. Lol…j/k we love her teacher too.
- She is theee best helper! Always checking to see if I need help or if baby needs anything. Cleans up the house very well.
- Best big sister! She is definitely settling into her role as the leader of the pack. One morning she took Viiga and Sefa downstairs, changed Viiga's daiper, made all three of them cereal, and then put on cartoons on youtube to watch. All while Aljay and I were knocked out.
- She is a hard worker.
- Mom and Dad's right hand man
- she hasn't mentioned that JT kid since October....I think it's safe to say she's moved on lol *parents are happy we don't have to have that conversation anymore...nekkminnit*
- She Loves...
- making videos
- going to school
- reading books
- playing with her siblings
- swimming
- dressing up
- being a girly girl
- hanging out with her cousins
SEFA
Age: 4
- LOVE THIS KID....especially when he listens
- Selective hearing to the max...his big ears only work half the time....drives us nuts
- the other day I kept having to tell him to line up the shoes (because he would stop and start singing) and after the third time of me reminding him, he says "Mom, just be patient".....oh ok so he does listen to things I say....oka I was so irritated I wanted to throw something at him but I got distracted by Aljay laughing hysterically in the kitchen lol
- he is always in his own world and gets easily distracted by simple things like socks, or toilet paper, or a piece of string...i dunno, he's so random!
- CRACK UP!!! he makes us laugh with the things that he says and does all the time
- His comebacks are pretty impressive for a 4 year old.
- Smart, quick, witty.
- detail oriented
- natural athlete
- really into drawing now....we have to hide our printer paper and any important papers that he might be able to reach.....kid draws on every piece of paper!
- Oh but the other day he took it up a notch and used permanent marker on the back seat of the car...and on the inside panel of the car...and the back car windows....he's going to clean ALL of it...one way or another!!!
- Has a love/hate relationship with Viiga
- Loves his baby sister Saleima....but ever since she was born he's been asking us questions like "how did she get in your tummy?" and "how did she come out?"....yay we get to answer those kinds of questions in 4 year old language....good thing I have my favorite go-to answer "GO ASK YOUR DAD!"
- Picky eater....irrits
- Loves
- mac and cheese
- playing with his siblings
- dancing
- reading books
VIIGA
- in terms of craziness, energy, and home destruction....this kid has stepped up his game MAJOR
- crazy...like his hair
- roars...like a little dinosaur...a lot...and pretends to be like Spot from the movie Good Dinosaur
- doesn't say a lot of words yet...mainly 'inu' (drink), wow, Mom/Dad....and will say 'stop it', 'aua', 'Leila', 'nana' (banana), 'sau' when he feels like it....and blabbers a lot
- points and uses gestures to tell us what he wants
- happy, smiley, cuddly kid
- ULAVALE like da heo...what is it about this age?
- gets into everything
- he'll push the chairs from the dining table to the kitchen and climb up on the counters to get stuff
- destroys the house in record breaking time
- has the funniest facials
- gets away with so much because he's so cute
- smart and mischievous
- naughtiest out of all the kids so far (at this age)
- irrits because he always wants to get into Baby Saleima's things (crib, car seat, swing, clothes, ect)....but is so adorable when he is trying to comfort her when she cries
- always comes running to tell me when baby is crying
- always wants to hug and kiss her
- always tries to share his snacks with her [caught him trying to feed her oreos one time]
- gives the best hugs and loves to cuddle!
- Good eater
- Loves
- bathtime
- eating time
- going for car rides
- running around
- roaring
- making random faces

@ 5ish weeks
saying bye to Grandma and Grandpa
Age: Almost 2 months
- my fatty kid- gained a pound in her first two weeks...the chubbiest of our babies so far
- good at being a baby- on that eat-sleep-poop-repeat regime
- She is very similar to Leila
- same facials, similar eating and sleeping habits, also gassy (farts when you pump her legs)
- Piggy nose...She looks so much like Leila when Leila was a baby...except she has more of a piggy nose :)
- Hands-up type of sleeper
- nice round forehead....*you're welcome my child*
- She's pretty alert for a newborn...well during those few hours in the day that she is awake
- Starting to smile ...while she's awake...not just when she's sleeping.
- For the first month her eyes were a pretty grayzel (gray/hazel) and I'm really hoping they stay light ***come on English and German blood!!!**.....but I'm thinking they'll go brown just like everyone else in the family

Love them to the eternities.
Excited to see the growth and development of each kid this year.
