Happy 4 Year Anniversary
to my wonderful husband who makes me smile and laugh every day!

There are so many reasons why I love him but since this is our Fourth anniversary here's 4 reasons why I just keep falling in love with him!

1. He cleans.

He does this thing where he sweeps eeeeeevverryything....yes everything- diapers (clean and dirty rolled up ones), spoons, rubbish, kids toys, pens, pencils, and anything else that lands on the floor....to one corner (usually right next to the trash can) and then leaves it there until the magic cleaning fairy sweeps it into a dustpan and dumps it in the rubbish. lol. And I can't help but laugh whenever I see a pile of rubbish/stuff alll swept up riiiiiight next to the trash can.

2. He takes on any challenge!

When we stayed at Turtle Bay I left my bra on the chair on the balcony to dry. I came back to check if it was dry and the thing had either blown over or was thrown over (probably by Leila) onto the roof of the 1st floor. We were on the 4th flour and could see it clearly from the balcony. Without any hesitation and quite a bit of enthusiasm Aljay left the room to retrieve the one and only bra I had brought with  me. I waited on the balcony and within a few seconds saw Aljay stepping through a window in the section of the hotel that was being renovated. After sliding through the window he ran across the first roof, then climbed down the ladder to the second roof, picked up my bra, and waved it victoriously over his head. Then with all the stealth he possessed, he quickly ran up the ladders, crossed the roof, and reappeared in the room within a minute.

3. He is a DIY(Do It Yourself) type of guy!

I've known since we were dating that Aljay was one of those people who had the mentality that "if other people could create something, why shouldn't we be able to?" Sometimes we go through with his crazy ideas...and sometimes we don't. Either way, this guy never fails to amaze me with his creativity, ingenuity, and optimism.

Case and point #1- Our wedding.

*He said he's sewn things before so he thought he should just sew my wedding dress to save money. (I didn't fall for that one)

*I was successful at baking a delicious cake ONE TIME, and he suggested I bake our wedding cake and he could do all the designs. We had watched Cake Boss so many times that we should be able to duplicate their cakes right? Riiiiiiiiiigghhhttt. Didn't happen. But it was a nice thought.

Case and point #2-Teaching dances

*Aljay thought that we should just make our tuigas, since finding a tuiga is always a hassle. Sure enough we made our first tuiga's for BYUH Samoan club's culture night performance.

We made the white one on the far right. We used my Tonga feathers and mirrors from my makeup compacts.

The second time around we were more successful and had better resources and created two tuigas that we used in a competition.

Aljay made these two tuigas and did everything by hand.

He's done so many things from fixing our car to patching holes in the kids clothes to making costume accessories by hand..... and despite how time consuming or tedious the task may be, he always get it done.

He is always determined, economical, and creative. And because of his "I can do anything you can do" attitude we've always come out learning new skills and new talents...and all the do's and don'ts that come along with it.

With him, I feel like we're always on an adventure to try something new, learn something new, and improve upon our talents.

4. He takes care of our family.

He provides for our every need. Despite all his flaws (and he sure does have his share) he takes care of me and our rascal kids.

Nuff said. I love this guy.

We celebrated our anniversary with a mini staycation for one night at Turtle Bay. Candace and Neima came and had lunch and swam. Then uncle Jay brought more food and we had dinner. It was he first time we had done something coolish for our anniversary. Aljay and I laughed at ourselves because the timing couldn't have been more off. He wasn't feeling too great, we are both out of shape, and all the effort of moving had made us just plain tired. But we laughed at ourselves and made the most of it.

Little Miss "CAN WE GO SWIM NOW!!" was first out the door to go swim and then tagivale cuz she was too scared of the water.

Happy Anniversary to us! And many more to come!
