Journey to Getting Healthy starts with our Checkups! So with us having healthcare benefits through UVU again, we decided to really take advantage and be proactive with our health. This is the plan I have in my head--- February - Checkups/Physicals March - Dentist, Optomotrist April - Follow ups I'm happy to report we got our checkups in February and okaaaaa...... So there are the obvious things right? like we need to make the lifestyle changes (exercise more and eat right) to lower our weight. And there's my blood pressure that I was quite nervous about, given my high blood pressure with the last two pregnancies. Well, it was a pleasant surprise to find out that my BP is good!! The thing that was less than exciting was my glucose! Oka...my A1C was a 7.5 (not good). For reference -- A normal A1C level is below 5.7% , a level of 5.7% to 6.4% indicates prediabetes, and a level of 6.5% or more indicates diabetes.
