Happy 9 Year Anniversary

June 11 | Our 9 Year Anniversary Woohoooo 9 years!!! Our anniversary fell on Monday this year...which meant I had to work...so we couldn't celebrate until I got off. I wanted to take the day off, but I'm saving up my vacation/PTO/personal days for later in the summer. Lahvjal and Penny watched the kids (bless their hearts) and just before we left the house, Uncle Mia showed up with Uncle Eveni, Uncle Alofa, and Dane. They came to grab some shirts since Uncle Faataualofa was going to be heading back to Australia. After they left, we drove up to Salt Lake and had dinner at the Roof. The Roof Restaurant is a gourmet/fine dining buffet located on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in downtown Salt Lake. ooohh fanncy smaannccy  It was a first for Aljay and first for us as a couple. One of Aljay's biggest dreams was to do an art show.  He's never exhibited his art before and doing an exhibition was a way of making a statement that he is an artist! So when the opportunity came about, we were so excited!! How We Got the Opportunity  Aljay decided around January that he was going to do an art exhibit. He was inspired by all the wall space and openness of our house. So naturally (if you know Aljay, then you can totally see him planning this) he had decided that we could use our house to host the exhibit. I was reaaalllyy hesitant about it. But the plan was do do an art show in May. He originally wanted March, but then I reminded him that I was supposed to give birth mid-March so NO! lol During this time I was working with UVU's Pacific Islander Initiative on a project called the Hidden Voices project. He's not afraid to fail.  He has a generous and loving heart.  He is full of wisdom and knowledge (but not all get to see that side of him).  He is funny. He is super talented. He is self taught in many things. He loves his family.  He is kind.  He makes us feel safe.  He is strong (not just physically). He can cook. He is a pretty good driver. He honors his Priesthood.  He is the best husband and Father.
