JUNE 2026

June 1 -6 FSY For Leila and Sefa

Aljay and I drove down to Ephraim, UT for our kids FSY session at Snow College. Eva and Malaki Lesa are from our ward and roomies with Leila and Sefa. So glad they have friends in their company. As a bonus, so many others from our stake and ward were at this session as well! So they didn't feel alone. We learned from Leila's first FSY that going with friends makes a big difference. This is Sefa's first FSY and Leila's 2nd.

Aljay and I also stopped by to see the new Ephraim temple! We thought it was a mosque at first lol.

June 2 - 6 Vineyard Days

In Utah, serveral of the cities have their own summer city celebration. Orem has Orem fest, Pleasant Grove has Strawberry Days, and Vineyard has Vineyard Days. This year the Vineyard committee went all out and had way more carnival rides than before. Our kids were out there almost every day enjoying the free activities, food trucks, and vendors.

Orem Fest

Oremfest was the week after Vineyard days. Yes, we went to Oremfest too. By this time Leila and Sefa were back from FSY and allll the teens and teeny boppers were at Oremfest.

June 27th - End of Rugby Season for Metuli

Metuli played her first season of rugby and loved it. Their team played in the restricted division so she was a penny player and could only tackle and get tackeled with two hand touch. She didn't love it but she learned so much about the game. Rugby became our Saturday morning thing. I loved that the first two Saturdays were far away, but the rest of the season was right here in Vineyard, only a minute drive from the house.

Metuli had great coaches and a great team! Half of them were just starting rugby for the first time. They made it to the championship game and lost by one try. It was so fun to watch, especially since they didn't expect to get that far.

June 27th - Super Valiant Day

Our Stake put together a super Valiant Day activity at the CLAS Ropes course. I think it's affiliated or owned by the church so all the activities had a team building aspect or gospel principle tied into it. It was a full on afternoon of outdoor activities, ropes courses, and all the things. The kids even got a t-shirt and were fed. So grateful for our stake doing this! This activity is easily $28 per kid and I think the wards only had to pay $5 per kid-- our ward had 20 kids!

Metuli and Saleima LOVED it and we loved the lessons they learned from doing hard things!

What a fun-filled month! And here are a few random photos--
