MARCH 2026

Uggh....time is flying and we wish we could slow it down just for a little bit.

Anyways...here's how we ended February and rolled into March.

Feb 26 - Timpview POP Performance

Sefa and Leila participated in their school's POP assembly at Timpview HS. Aljay and I couldn't be there but we were able to get some videos and pics from other parents lol

March 4 - Ian & Brittany's Birthday

I failed to take any photos, but we had cake and ice cream with Ian & Payton at our house. Then after they left, we went to the gym. It was the only gift I could give Brittany lol

March 6 - 7  Leila & Sefa Morp Activities

These two went to their first high school dance. It was Morp—which, if you’re not from Utah, is just “Prom” spelled backwards and is a girls-choice dance.

Leila asked Logan, her classmate from Orem Junior High who now goes to Timpanogos High School. Eva asked Sefa (lol). Eva and Leila are really good friends—they play high school and club volleyball together and we’re in the same ward. Naturally, they also ended up being the group leaders.

Part of the Utah tradition for high school dances is doing a day date, taking pictures, and then going to the dance. So this group did their photos on Friday and went to top golf for their day date. Then on Saturday, Leila and Eva had a volleyball tournament—where their team took first place in the gold bracket! Woohoo!—before heading off to the dance that night.

By Sunday, they were completely funned out.

As cute as it all was… okaaaaaa… the number of times we wanted to karate chop them was just too much. 😂

Leila and Sefa couldn’t buy their tickets because their attendance was in the red. They’re not exactly the brightest problem solvers, so it took them forever to realize they could simply ask someone else to buy the tickets for them. I mean, they also could have just gone to class on time and taken care of their attendance… but apparently that was asking too much.

Sefa managed to misplace his phone on Friday right after the photo shoot.

And Leila couldn’t confirm plans until just before—or sometimes the day of.

Teenagers.

Equal parts adorable and exhausting.

But seeing them all dressed up and having fun at their first dance? Totally worth it.

God bless our co-parents/Mom-tys--  Aunty Penny, Aunty Peyton, and Aunty Brittany. They are forever coming in clutch. Britt bought Leila's dress, Penns did their photos and got her shoes, Peyton did their corsage and boutonnieres. We seriously cannot raise these kids without our village! I am forever blessed to have them as sisters and friends!

Here are a few photos from the photoshoot--

Of course we all posed a little here and there lol

March 7 - Leila's Club Volleyball Team Won their First Gold Medals

Don't remember who took the pic but I'm sure someone's parent did lol

March 7 - Saleima's Last Junior Jazz Game of the Season

March 8 - SUNDAY :)

We went to church, and  I got released from my calling as a Primary President!!! Woohoo lol I'll enjoy it for as long as I can hahaha

The weather was beautiful! So we changed up our plans for a chicken dinner, seared up some burger patties instead, and enjoyed the outdoors!

March 13-14: Sefa did his first fireknife gig of the year with Uncle Vjal and Uncle Kila. It was up in Idaho at BYUI. They performed for their Multicultural night.

March 22 - Leila's Birthday

We celebrated the day before with BBQ at home with some cake and ice cream. On her actual birthday we went to church as usual, came home and had a nice lunch, then the youth people got ready to go to Bishop's Youth Discussion.

Probably not as sweet as her 15th birthday to Disneyland, but with the busy weeks we've been having, our girl really didn't want to do anything with friends. She wanted to just enjoy her day with family.

March 29 - Palm Sunday

Aljay's first time conducting sacrament meeting. He did great. The kids sang two songs in sacrament meeting. We had 1 hour church (loved it!). Went home and had a very yummy lunch.
