**Who tries to lose weight but doesn't have a scale! Uhg...slapping myself!!**
What I've been doing:
- Workouts from Youtube
Found this Postnatal workout that you can find here. I like this one because it's made specifically for Mom's and has exercises and guidelines that takes into account diastasis recti. I want to go running (baha)...I mean walking outside but Utah's inversion is nastyaz #airpollution.... oh and it's freezing cold. - belly wrapping
hee hee.. Nothing fancy like the 'It Works' wraps...just straight up plastic wrap with those belly wrap binder things? Yup. Keep it frugal. Honestly it feels good until you start to sweat (yes i know thats the point of it) hahaha...then I'm like mmmm....grorrrsssshh. So I've only wrapped like 3 times this first month and always taken it off right after workout lol - "Fitness Journal"lol not sure if that's even the right thing to call it since it's mostly me being a winy sook. Throughout the week I would just take a second to write out a line or two about how I was feeling or things that were going through my mind. It's at the end of this post.
- Eating better.Better portions, less juice, incorporating more veggies and fruits.
How do I feel?
- I have way more energy. This affects everything- mentally, spiritually, physically.
- I'm a better wife/Mom/human because of #1.
- I'm more happy.
- My body is sore, but that makes me happy.
- I still look the same, but I feel a difference.
What to work on/change/improve:
- ummm everything? so much room for improvement hahah starting with attitude lol Eating right, drinking water, exercising every day....you know, the basics....but mostly eating right!
- Making time!!! So I would usually have the school kids off to school by 9:15am and then come home and cleanup/tend to the younger two, and then wait until Aljay was free to watch the kids OR wait until both babies were napping to get a workout in. INEFFECTIVE!
- NEW ROUTINE! Instead of checking my phone (fb/snapchat/instagram) when I wake up, I'm going to get my muli up and workout! I get up at 7:30 every morning and the school kids usually wake up around 8 or 8:15....so I typically use those 30 mins to lay in bed and have some "me" time and gently wake up my brain......not any more....WE ARE GOING TO WAKE UP MY LIFE and EXXERRRCIIISSSEEEE!!!!
"FITNESS JOURNAL"
Week 1
This sucks! I'm uncoordinated like the hell. There is a major disconnect between my brain and my body. Fog brain. Making time to workout is more effort than actually working out. My diet is good one day then kefs the next. Lord help me!
Maybe I should adjust the plan to working out 3 times a week and then work up to 5 times.
Suck it up woman! BE A MAN! No don't be a man. Be a strong WOMAN!
I should add "Stop cussing" to my personal goals. I love Jesus, but I cuss a little....sometimes a lot. Mostly in my head....but then it slips out sometimes....especially when working out.
Yessssss.....it's SUNDAY! No working out!!! I love you Sabbath Day. I will keep this day Holy and not just by avoiding shopping and tv, but doing holier things!!! And not just going Church but actually doing projects, appropriate activities, and that kine with the kids...Wow...who knew working out would increase my spirituality instantaneously?
Week 2
OKay here we go again. Let's do this! Scratch that '3 times a week' crap I can manage 5 times a week! JUST DO IT SANDRA!!!!! Stop being such a panty.
Oh my gosh Aljay just bought some chips, oreos, and juice. Greeaaaaattttttt....I like craaaackkk him!
Frek! We still have some chocolate covered macadamia nut boxes in the cupboard.....I have no will power. #eatthoselikepopcorn
I wish there wasn't an entire mirrored wall in the dining room. Would make me feel better during the workouts hahahahahah In my head I'm Laila Ali. But the mirror says I'm fricken Peppa Pig dying ugly all over our living room lol At least you did your workout!!! That is true. Good job self. You're welcome self.
Is it Sunday yet?
Week 3
Was talking story with another Mom in the mother's room at church....at one point she said "at least you go back to your figure" and I was like....'NOooooooo honeeeyyy noooo....i try reaallllyyy hard to workout and eat good...this doesn't happen by itself'
It's Monday. Yay!! *I'm so positive! Well done girl!* Third week going "strong". Missed Monday's workout and had to shorten today's (Tues) workout due to the demanding little people since Daddy is away on business :( But it's all good. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
OKay yeah lets just call this week a fail lol. I've either missed or had to cut short my workouts and now it's Friday lol. And last night's Relief Society activity had some bomb food and desserts. But it's not how you start but how you finish yah? Okay so let's try end the week right and start strong again Monday??......... ok greeeeeeat. READY?!?!? OKAYYY!!!! (cheerleader voice)
I need new sports bras.
Week 4
Okay! It's Monday and I'm sick. Utah inversion and cold weather I HATE YOU. I'll rest this one out.
Alrighty! Tuesday!!!! I feel a little better than yesterday so let's try sweat this thing out!
I over did it yesterday.....okkaaaaaa I'm soooo tired and sore lol booo aaand I'm still coughing out my lungsssss eeeeghhhh....but on the bright side I finally got some weights!!! We went to good ol Walmart and for the first time invested in my health hahahaha cause we always get Aljay his supplements and stuff when we goes on a health kick...but ay I got me a set of 5lb and 10lb weights yessssss... Cause using the milk jugs was getting old lol
Since I probably won't be working out the rest of the week (we going St George yaayy!!) I better make today count. *Later in the day>>> I didn't make today count. boo
FRIDAY! Decided I am going to change my life and set a better routine for myself!! Hence the 'New Routine' as stated above lol. It's now 8:15am and I've already done my workout for the day. So what if it was only a 10 min cardio core workout hahahahah.....it was cardio and core so SCORE lol mmmurrp... okay time to kaele and hide in the shower before the school kids wake up and find me!
Final thoughts:
I need to be consistent in all areas; eating right, working out daily, taking body measurements correctly, weighing myself at least after each month, and pushing myself. But I am proud of my efforts and I'm still motivated. YAY! lol. I'm looking forward to running now that it's slowly warming up outside. Keep at it woman! Keep at it! One month down, 11 more to go!
