Operation Get Fit

Image
uuuuggghhhh...I've been dreading this post. Not because it's hard to write, but because (1)this is the bajillionth time trying to lose weight, and (2) I don't want anyone to know and hold me accountable lol...no but really This is..... Operation Get Fit!   [a.k.a  weight loss attempt #2435213462987] So here's the plan- I'm going to get operation...juuuust kidding! hee hee...aaaannyways.... Baby Saleima was easily my most hang pregnancy. I ached more, was out of breath more, got tired, had sore feet, felt super heavy in the pelvic area, and my body didn't bounce back as quickly as I had hoped after delivery. The post partum recovery process wasn't bad, but it just wasn't as quick as the other recoveries were (with the exception of the C section recovery). I'm not that surprised though. I've carried and delivered four babies in 5 years, I'm not in my young 20's, my body is shot and needs to recover. #nomoremusclememory #n...

Reflect Regroup Reevaluate

Everyone has returned to their homes and our house is "empty". The last of our family left. The winter break is over. Kids have started up school again and we are settling back into our routine. I wanted to start my "New Year's Resolution" post but I thought it would be good to take some time to reflect and put in writing some of our thoughts and feelings...because a lot has happened just within the past three months that has affected our family...well..mostly Aljay and I.  I wrote about some of this in my journal but I thought I would share this on the family bog just because. Lets have a heart to heart for a minute.... We couldn't have been more grateful to have family to end the 2015 year  and to welcome a new year with. Our last few months of the 2015 year had been quite trialing because of our lack of experience with business management. The business was doing well, but our personal finances suffered due to Aljay and I not having other income. Alj...

Christmas 2015

Image
**late post** Yes yes... late post. It be like that sometimes lol. A lot has happened over the Christmas break so I'm pretty sure I'll be playing the catch up game for a bit. Christmas and New Years 2015 This winter season (Christmas/New Years) has been a busy one. Before Christmas Day we were constantly busy with the business ( totally forgot that our business is in retail and that holiday season is super busy...duh! #suchanewbie ). On top of that I was still recovering and didn't have the strength or energy to do everything with the kids. I was worried that Christmas would become more "busy" and less Christ centered, especially with business picking up.  Luckily, we were still able to take time for family and focus our hearts and minds towards the Savior. Family Traditions Aljay took Leila and Iosefa to Temple Square  to see the lights. It's been a tradition for our family since we've been in Utah. It was freeeezing so me and the babies stayed...

Keiki Update

We have 4 kids. Like woah. We officially have a tribe.  What's it like with 4 kids? It's been almost two months as a family of 6.....and well....I've been told before that it get's easier after 3 kids. I'm still waiting to see if that is true or not lol.  Our house is messy 90% of the time, our trash bins fill up within 5 minutes of putting in a new trash bag, we are forever missing socks/shoes/beanies/gloves/etc, we always have laundry waiting to be done, there is hardly ever a quiet moment ( and if there is...we start to worry ), we now take an hour and a half to get everyone dressed to leave the house, and then 30 minutes to actually leave the house... BUT...despite the sleepless nights, constant trials of patience, and non stop commotion....we wouldn't have it any other way. We love our family and our four blessings that are truly a manifestation of God's love. It's not easy, but they make it worth it.  Here's the latest o...
