Christmas Day

Image
CHRISTMAS DAY 2016 We started our day with a quick breakfast and 9am church service. Aaand we made it in time for sacrament!!! YAY! We still ended up in the foyer with the two babies but I still count it as a win!  P.S. Christmas should always be on Sunday. I loved that we got to start off our day giving our full attention, hearts, and minds to our Savior. Christmas should be on Sunday every year! And the one hour service was most lovely.  After Church we came home, had our devotional, and opened presents! Aljay and I got drawing pads, coloring pencils, build-your-own wooden toys, and some dollar toys for the kids. Mom and Dad got a bath and body set and an scentsy type candle thing.  We did Secret Santa with the kids and their grandparents. The "secret" part of it lasted about an hour lol. The kids had fun though.  sidenote: Leila is so thoughtful when picking out gifts. She picked out a necklace and earrings for me and thought to get a little f...

Pre-Christmas Day Festivities

Image
This is going to be a very bare post. Meaning hardly any pics...my apologies to all the visual learners. We've been a little junk at taking pics/videos and now that Viiga is addicted to our phones, we've had to keep our phones out of sight and tucked away. Nonetheless, Christmas carries on!!! It is the best time of the year!!!!! Family Tradition- Christmas Baking We always try to make something to give out to our neighbors, family, friends, etc....this year we decided to do sugar cookies.  So I did the cookies with the kids one night and the dough came out bleeeh because I forgot to add one ingredient. woops...but we baked them anyways and they didn't taste bad so we decorated them and then I came downstairs the following day and they were all eaten. FAIL. Take two. We made cookies again the following night, this time with all the correct ingredients. Cookies were very very delicious. Too delicious. They magically disappeared again...thanks to my sneaky minions...

Beginners Luck Picnic Pork Roast

I found this draft post that I never finished but definitely want to save. So glad I found it! I made a pork roast for Leila's 5th birthday and it came out BOMB! Best roast I've ever had! Not being biased or anything! It was juicy, flavorful, balanced, cooked! lol....I wish I took a pic of my beautiful roast. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out and I was nervous that it was almost a 10lb roast and that I might mess it up....but it turned out better than I though. Thank goodness. I wanted to make sure to record what I did so I don't stuff up the next time I try to make a roast. Here's what I did.... 1. Take a whole garlic bulb (peeled) and put it through the blender with half an onion, a few tablespoons of Italian seasoning, and about a fourth to a half cup of canola oil. 2. Score the top of the roast (the thick fatty part). 3. Massage the mixture into the entire peice of meat.  4. Salt and Pepper the whole thing. 5. Put in the ov...

25 Hours of Fitness!!!

So the Church put out a #LighttheWorld campaign with a 25 Days of Christmas advent calendar. One of the sisters in our ward printed out the calendar and handed them out on Sunday. I was so grateful! It makes it that much easier for me to plan little projects and activities with our family that can help us focus on the Savior. There are great ideas of ways we can serve and do things to remember the gifts from our Savior, and become a light to others. Love it! So I get home and I immediately get this idea in my head that I should do 25 hours of Fitness!!! It would be a gift to myself! The gift of a healthy habit and a healthier body! So I planned it out. 25 hours = 1500 minutes Every time I get a workout in (no matter how long it was for) I can jot it down. GOAL: complete 25 hours of exercise by Christmas Day.   *Make that New Year's Day.  Make that..whenever I get it done! TRACKING: I have a piece of paper on the fridge to keep track. I'm going to post this now ...

Happy 1st Birthday to our Little Princess Saleima Lupeautino Fuimaono This little lovely lady has brought so much joy to our family.  She is a happy baby who loves to play with everyone.  Her personality is really starting to come through  and she is a sweet and sassy lil lady  When she wants something, she stays focused and determined to get it.  She loves to eat.
