My Husband made reservations!

Image
Anyone who really knows me, knows that I like planners...and wrist watches...and calendars....and notebooks...and writing things down and organizing plans and ideas on paper. ( Don't be deceived...there's no correlation to  being super organized, prepared, or on time...because I'm not competent in any of those areas... I just like these things ) And anyone that knows my husband knows that he is a go with the flow...be spontaneous....be inspired by the day..type of person ( which used to sometimes bug me but I have adjusted over the years )  So for him to make plans ahead of time really really really excites me! So what did he do exactly? Well...like the title says....MY HUSBAND MADE RESERVATIONS lol It might not be ground-breaking news for others, but for us it was something new and exciting hahah ( especially for Aljay since he did this on our Anniversary ). Thursday, June 11th was our 6th Year Anniversary .  Aljay had to work, so we  decided tha...

Our Hawaii Trip

Image
AaaahhhhhhhhhLOOOOOHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! We finally made it May .  Finally made it to May 14th. Finally made it to Hawaii .  and 10 days later... we made it back to Utah . And now it's June. And that concludes our Hawaii trip! Not really. But it felt like it went by so fast!  Probably because we were having a really good time.  It was the first time all the Fuimaono siblings were together.  So not only was it a celebration of Ben and Nina's marriage, but also a long awaited Family Reunion. (I was going to do a day by day replay.....but I'm too exhausted for it. I'm glad for google plus's photo story thing   that does it automatically. You can see our photos in the link below...if it works lol) Fuimaono Family Trip- Hawaii 2015 There are a few moments in the trip I did want to point out.  MAY 21st--  ALJAY CELEBRATED HIS 30th BIRTHDAY!!!! We started his birthday with a temple session.  Then...

Chicken Katsu

Simple but yums.  I've made this with pork, chicken breast, and chicken thighs- they all are equally tasty.  Ingredients Chicken (de-boned thigh or breast) panko breadcrumbs flour egg salt/pepper oil Take your chicken breast or thigh and pound it out. I use the back of my knife and pound it out until it is a quarter inch thick. I'm guessing a meat tenderizer type thing would work great but I don't have one. When using chicken breast, I like to slice the chicken into thinner slices to speed up the process. Set aside. Put some oil in a skillet over medium high heat. While the oil is heating up, set up three separate dishes for coating the chicken. First dish- flour, salt, pepper. Second dish- beaten eggs. Third dish- panko bread crumbs. Now work the assembly line. Coat the chicken in the flour, then dip into the eggs, then into the bread crumbs, and then pop it into the pan. Fry on one side until golden brown and then flip it over and brown the other s...

Ramen Cabbage Salad

This is a quick and simple salad that I love, especially during the summer time. There are many versions to this recipe but this one is the quickest and easiest that I've liked so far. Ingredients -1/2 head of cabbage, shredded -green onion, chopped - 1 package ramen noodle Dressing -1/2 Cup of canola/vegetable oil -3 T sugar -3 T rice vinegar Crush the ramen and toast on a stove stop or in the oven. Set aside. Mix the dressing ingredients in a glass jar or wisk together in a bowl. Pour the desired amount of dressing over the cabbage and green onion. Toss with the toasted ramen and your done!!!! So simple. You can add a bit more excitement by adding.. -toasted almonds -grated carrot -sunflower seeds -red cabbage -whatever you like -maybe mandarins  I like to eat this with chicken katsu or korean fried chicken. mmmmm...yum.
