Werk werk werk werk werking on my
shhhzzzzzzzzz......
That song has been stuck in my head for days. Yes it's an inappropriate song. I should probably try to get another song stuck in my head, preferably something without bad words, but I can't help it. The "work work work" part suits everything I've been doing lately...which is puttin in WORK!!!
So what kinda work have I been doing?
Busy bee work....
Anyways..... we'll always be working... always striving to become better....it comes with being a parent/adult/wife/LDS member..... and it's never easy but anything is achievable with a lot of prayer, discipline, determination, perseverance, hard work, diligence.... you get the point.... if it doesn't challenge us, it doesn't change us.
Ima werk werk werk work keep working on my.......... life.

- Planning my Mom's 60th Birthday Celebration. It was really fun. I'll probably do a separate post on it later after all the pics get in.
- Late night lesson planning. I've been enjoying the teaching process of planning, organizing, teaching, and then seeing it all unfold, sometimes with great wonderful immediate feedback and sometimes not.
Personal work...
(Simple things that to me are BIG...or i guess I should say are making a BIG difference)
- Getting up early. Not just for work but for everyday. I try to do it every day but yah know.... but when it does happen I sure do enjoy the early mornings by myself where I can think, ponder, and meditate.
- Making my bed every day. Even if I can't get the entire bedroom clean and kept, at least my bed is. It makes a difference in my day.
- Avoiding those waste time facebook quizzes. Like "what is your magic power?", "which disney Princess are you?", "What state should you live in?"....as if I need some generic made up generalized quiz to tell me answers I already know....hello my magic power is being able to read minds (just Aljay's). I'm Pocahontas (and sometimes Jasmine, but I fight like Mulan). I should live in Hawaii (but I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be for now...Bootah). Still I find myself wanting to participate in these "quick" quizzes that end up taking up more time than intended.
- Service. Our ward is going through a very sad time as people have been passing away and others are finding out they only have a few weeks left on Earth. Everyone affected is seeking solace and comfort in each other as we all find strength and peace in knowing that the Plan of Salvation has made it possible for families to be together again. Many, including our family, are trying our best to be of service to anyone in anyway; whether it be donating money, making meals, visiting, fasting, or just fulfilling our church callings....we are all putting in that extra effort to give unconditionally, uplift spiritually, and serve willingly.
- Clean Eating and Exercise.
Ok so we've been going piggy piggy lately since my Mom's birthday. For three days after my Mom's birthday we've been feasting on leftover cake (Milla made a bomb cake), Salmon (healthy...except when you eat it alllll day long), brownies, and Kailua pork. Consequently, Aljay and I have been feeling extra sluggish, bloated, lazy, unhealthy, fatty, blaaahh...I decided to have Aljay help me write out our weekly dinner menu (I usually write it by myself) and we both expressed how we felt unhealthy..nekmennet bada bing bada boom kanani we have two weeks of clean eating planned and a workout plan to go with it. Oh my life all I wanted was to add in a few more veggies and now we are strictly eating clean for two weeks then doing another two weeks of I don't know What!!..cause by that time I had already tuned out as Mr.Diet kept going on about what we'll be doing. Wish me luck. We start on Monday. (Monday = pay day = shopping for healthy food)
