Summer Lovin ☀☔🎇😓😁

Been LOVIN the summer!!! The heat...not so much (It's still blardy  hott )     But just being able to get out of the house without having to put on layers has been really really really nice.  I'm a bit more acclimated this time so the dry heat isn't as severely devastating as it felt last year  ( with the exception of a few days of oven like heat that we sometimes get ). We don't have AC in our house so we've been surviving with two fans and sleeping in the nice cool basement. Fortunately we have trees that provide enough shade to the front and back of our house that we don't over heat. There are some days where it's too hot to do anything but overall we don't mind. We would take heat over the cold any day. Since we only get a few months of decent outdoorsie-swim worthy-ice cream eating weather, we are making sure we take full advantage of it. Here's how we've spent our time so far. SEFA's 3rd BIRTHDAY!!!

Image
So this growing guy turned 3!!!! We LOVE this kid so much! We are so blessed to have such a lovable spirit in our home and can't imagine life without him.  He drives us nuts sometimes, but m akes us laugh without even trying. He can bring a smile to your face just by being himself and entertains us by dancing his little muli off anytime you drop a beat! We didn't have a lot of money to throw him a big party or even get him presents but this guy couldn't care less. He enjoys the simple things in life (thank goodness). Love my Sefa! We started his special day by taking  him to the Provo splash pad. Then had all his favorites for dinner. homemade bread, spaghetti, jello, otai Sefa how old are you??!!?  "I'm weeee!!"  And ended the evening with Family Home Evening and cake!! For FHE talent time he sang "Let It Go"...backed up by Unko "Bell" Cake time! ...

Image
Last week we hit our year mark in Utah. I couldn't believe we actually made it a whole year. Good job team! Aljay wanted to celebrate it by doing something special, but we didn't lol. Instead we just reflected on the entire year and thought about all that has happened while being here. We had a pretty good life in Hawaii- good paying jobs, nice apartment, car, family close by, beaches even closer . But we  were constantly fighting an uphill battle when it came to being able to gain real financial stability. One of the reasons being that w e relied solely on our own abilities and ideas, not always seeking the Lord's guidance in everything especially when it came to finances. When we finally decided to stop leaning unto our own understanding and put our trust in the Lord  (Provo 3:5-6) , we were able to find the answers (not just to our financial problems). Although the answer (leaving Hawaii) wasn't exactly what we wanted, we allowed the Lord to guide us and ha...
