First time blogging
So I am new to this blogging thing. I've been a big fan of journal writing (you can see below for my whole spiel on journals) and scrap booking but only been semi consistent with one of them--journal writing. I've always wanted to scrap book but I've come to terms with the fact that I'm just not the scrap-make-things-all-cute-booking type and probably never will be. So I've decided to give in to the convenience of modern technology and have a go at this blogging stuff. Besides putting pictures in a blog is waayyyy easier than having to cut and paste by hand. And I have quite a few friends to thank for inspiring me:) So here goes my attempt to capture, save, cherish, and share our life with our friends and family.

(My Spiel about my journal writing)
I've always been a big believer in journal writing. I been given journals throughout my life- when I turned eight, when I started seminary, when someone else decided to re-gift their journals lol.....and although I was not as consistent as I should have been, I've kept all the journals I've ever written in. I LOVE re-reading my journals because I get to relive old memories that were forgotten and I can see my personal growth throughout the years....of course there are embarrassing sections in my journal I just skip over because of embarrassment but I keep myself from ripping out those pages. My kids need to know me and my struggles.
Anyways...I've just finished my journal that I received when I first started seminary back in 2000 (yes it did take me 13 years to complete a 200 page journal.....mind you I lost it...started a new journal....found it...and then completed it after the other journal was finished....so complicated ay). I would've liked to buy another one but with a tight family budget my new journal has never made it to the "Needs" shopping list (diapers, food, and rent trump everything). But I know I will eventually get one because I want to leave behind my personal experiences, life learned lessons, and testimony for just my kids to read. Something tangible, written in my own handwriting, stained with my own tears, with pages that are aged with time and spotted with inky imperfections.

So here's whats been happening with our little family :)
Starting with March..
March 6th- We started teaching We Are Samoa for King Int and Castle HS. It has been tiring and time consuming, but enjoyable and rewarding at the same time. These kids have heart :)

At our all-day practice.

March 22- My butterball-Sister Teuila was sealed for time and all eternity to her hubby Bubu Naki. It was a beautiful sealing and reception. It was the first time all my siblings have been together with our spouses and kids!!! Loved being with family!
Do you see what i'm trying to do with the picture within a picture thing? Yes, that is exactly why i'm not a photographer....lol
The five Fa'amuli grandchildren with their proud grandparents and the newlyweds :)
Also March 22- My firstborn turned 3!!!!!! After Teuila and Bubu's sealing, we went home and celebrated with family and cake and ice cream. She was soooo excited about being able to blow out the candle on her cake. I felt so bad I couldn't do more for her...but I'm grateful she has learned to appreciate the simple things in life. Love my Little Leila!
She was jumping up and down like crazy!
April 27th- The Afele's made a surprise visit!!!! YAAAYYYY!!!! We were all so excited to see them! Especially Aulia and TanaMAN! We were able to spend time together with our family in Aiea and at the Manti Te'o celebration!

1. Keep a positive-can do attitude. It goes a long way.
2. Be patient- kids are kids
3. Pray always :)
And I'll keep this on constant replay in my mind as we head towards an even busier next two months. With the end of the School year approaching we still have Castle HS Ho'ike, King's Ho'ike , We Are Samoa, fire knife competition, and graduation to look forward to.... BRRINNNGGG IIITTTT!!!!!
Sounds like a lot...feels like a lot...but we'll take it one day at a time. At times we may feel overwhelmed, but we've been blessed tremendously and have been recipients of the Lord's tender mercies time and time again. Some how we make it through each day.
There issss light at the end of the tunnel...well at least thats what i heard. lol....nah..I can see it now! I only get 3 more weeks of school left an two more until We Are Samoa festival...then more fun stuff like the ward camp and Aljay's birthday....woohoooooo. Here's to ending the school year strong! #Cantwaittilsummer
